Quiodeen later that night walked back and forth in front of the door, waiting for Walden's return.
"I'm back, honey."
Being desperately concerned, Quiodeen dashed to wrap him around her arms, "You promised me, Walden."
"I promised, today's the last." Walden replied as he dropped his bag.
A few weeks then Walden kept his promise, spending everyday with Quiodeen as he works as a fast food worker.
"Where are you going this late?" asked Quiodeen.
"I thought you were asleep—well I'm just going to take a night's shift." he clicked the door open, and gave Quiodeen a quick farewell kiss.
Quiodeen felt something strange, "But the restaurant's closed by now?"
Being worried that Walden might still be working for his boss, she followed him.
"This is your next target, she'll be checking my cafe tomorrow—" by her surprise upon hearing the conversation, she quickly ran away.
That night, Walden didn't return.

The following day, Quiodeen left early to meet up with a friend. From a distance, Walden saw her and thought of it as a best time to execute his mission while Quiodeen is busy.
When he got to his position, he waited until he got a clear sight of his target.
He was already stable and ready to take the shot, "Gotcha." he said as he pulled the trigger.
POW!— a sound of a silenced sniper rifle was accompanied by a sudden tear from Walden.
His eyes were stuck to the scope that showed the woman that he so truly loved, accidentally shot when she came into the frame.
All it took for him to lose his everything was, ONE SHOT.
