Crown

Chapter VI

Virgil sat on his sisters bed wearing a black suit with a purple under shirt and a black crown tipped with amethysts, he was waiting for Jayden and Ashley to finish with their makeup, 'Girls take forever' he thought to himself. Just then, without warning, the door burst open and a boy stood in the doorway, he was wearing a white shirt with a black leather jacket, black jeans and shoes, "Jayden! Hurry up, the carriage is outside!" just then the bathroom door opend and out stepped Ashley followed by Jayden, they were beautiful. Ashley wore a white and purple dress with heels, her hair was loose and there was a black tiara with an amethyst in the middle sitting proudly on top her head, she wore her glasses and a light shade of lipstick. Jayden wore a white dress with dark pink edges, heels and a flower crown, her hair was also loose and she wore a natural shade of lip gloss because her lips were already a pink colour. She looked at the boy, "Remy! What are you wearing?" she grabbed his arm, "We won't be long, go wait by the carriage." and she strode off with the boy in her grasp. Virgil and Ashley went down to the carriage, about five minutes later Jayden returned with Remy who was now wearing a suit and tie, "Better?" she asked looking at Ashley, "Definitely." she replied. They started giggling as Remy and Jayden climed into the carriage, and they were off. The kingdoms aren't too far apart so it didn't take long for them to enter the border of the Kingdom of Gold. After about twenty minutes of laughter from the two girls they saw a sign that read, 'Welcome to the Kingdom of Gold' Virgil wasn't exactly exited for the ball, he didn't like to interact with people but at least he wasn't home without Ashley, he shuddered as the memories of the previous night came back to him. About ten minutes later they arrived at the palace, it was big, but not much bigger then the palace from his kingdom. The carriage door opend and they stepped out, they walked up the steps of the palace and entered the ballroom. It was magnificent, the place was draped in red and gold, there was a perfect place to dance and there where flowers placed at every pillar. There was a red carpet all around the room and a buffet of the side with an asortion of different foods and drinks. As they entered a trumpet went off and a man standing to the side of the door said "Please welcome Princess Ashley and Prince Virgil of the Kingdom of Shadows!" all heads immediately turned at the sound of Virgils name, all eyes were on him. He really stood out compared to everyone else in the room, he was very good looking, but people had their eyes on him because of the rumors, they wanted to see if the prince was really being abused, but even though he was, it wasn't visible. As they walked down the steps Ashley and Jayden immediately spotted a group of girls they knew very well, childhood friends. The first one was Amy, she was tall and had fair skin with long light brown hair that was very dark on the ends, she had beautiful cyan eyes and was wearing a black dress with red edges and heels, she had a black moon and a red star clipped into her hair, she was from the Kingdom of Gold. The second one was Florence, she was short with dark brown hair that went past her shoulders and dark brown eyes, she wore a white and yellow dress with heels, she wore a yellow flower in her hair, she was from the Kingdom in the Clouds. The third one was Princess Iris, the eldest child and only daughter of King Jonathan and Queen Natalie. She had black hair cut above her shoulders and dark blue eyes, she wore a black and white dress and boots with a silver tiara with a blue sapphire in the middle, she's the princess of the Kingdom of the Future. On the side Virgil could see her twin brother, Prince Irichio. He was the second oldest and eldest son of King Jonathan and Queen Natalie. He had neat black hair with a silver crown with blue sapphires on the top, he wore a black suit and tie with boots, like his sister, he was from the Kingdom of the Future. Remy headed off toward the buffet while Virgil went to stand by the wall, he didn't want to get in anyone's way but he also didn't want any part of this. After about five minutes another trumpet sounded and from the back of the ballroom a door opend and royal family from the Kingdom of Gold walked in, "Please welcome their royal highnesses King Colton, Queen Luryn, Prince Remus and Prince Roman!" the royal family made their way up to the thrones. Virgil looked at the prince's, Remus was wearing a black suit with a green top and boots with a golden crown with rubys in the sides, he was wearing a fake mustache which Virgil found to be quite amusing as it was falling off at the side. Roman was wearing a white suit with a red top, boots and the same crown as his brother. He was very handsome, his eyes were like an endless void, so deep to look into. "See something you like?" said Ashley who had found her way back to his side, "What?" Virgil replied, "I see you eyeing the prince, also you're blushing." Virgil covered his face in embarrassment.

Meanwhile

Roman looked around the room, there where a lot of people mostly women come to try to win his hand in marriage, others where there to accompany the women. As his eyes wondered he saw someone, a boy, he was wearing a crown and a black suit, he was very handsome. After about five minutes the boys were aloud to go around and talk to the guests, Roman immediately decided he was to talk to the boy he saw earlier. He slipped through the crowd until he saw him, he was alone, perfect.
