Daisy my dear
Let me buy you a beer
I see it so clear
All I want is you, near

We'll go out for the day
Take a walk on the bay
I'll Ask you to stay
and then I will say

“Stay with me always, it's you that I love
I close my eyes shut and it's you I think of
I look up to find you flying above
A smile of an angel, the wings of a dove”

When the sun's out of sight
You will hold me so tight
You'll depart, say good night
Well... This can't be right.

I'll get in through your window, the walls aren't too steep.
I will seat in the darkness and stare while you sleep
I'll take a few hairs, just something to keep
and in your ear I will whisper in a voice not too deep

“Stay with me always, it's you that I love
I close my eyes shut and it's you I think of
I look up to find you flying above
A smile of an angel, the wings of a dove”

Then you will hear me, inside of your dream
You will open your eyes and try hard to scream
But I will be ready, or so it would seem
Both hands on your pillow, towards the extreme.

At first you will fight it, you'll try to defy
But soon you will stop and your tears will run dry
Like the others before you, it's your turn to die
I'll embrace your cold body and quietly cry.

“Stay with me always, it's you that I love
I close my eyes shut and it's you I think of
I look up to find you flying above
A smile of an angel, the wings of a dove”
