"Sweetie, listen to me. Kun will bring you far away from here. Away from all these chaos."

"But mom-"

"It's for your own good, son." His father reasoned out.

"What about you guys?"

"We'll be alright, Lele. Trust us." The boy, Chenle, cried. He didn't like the idea of being separated from his parents. He just wanted to live a happy life with his family.

"Please... N-No."

"Be strong for us, our baby." That was the last conversation Chenle had with his parents before Kun had dragged him away. Away from danger. He still didn't understand why his parents can't come with him.

He entered a car that immediately moved after he closed the door. He cried harder when his parents were out of his sight. He wished that this was only a dream. He wanted to wake up.

Chenle woke up, sweating heavily. It was just a dream, or so he thought. He woke up in an unfamiliar room, confused. Then it hit him. It wasn't a dream. Everything had happened. He remembered that before falling asleep, Kun was taking him to the airport.

He cried once again. He's not with his parents anymore. He lost them. He thinks that it's all his fault. He wasn't able to protect them. He was too weak to protect them.

"It's all my fault." Chenle told himself.

"My fault." He repeated again and again, curling his knees up as he hugged them.

Kun enters the room with food and water for Chenle. He noticed the state of the young male. He placed the food on the bedside table, then sat on the bed beside Chenle.

"It's my fault." Kun heard Chenle mutter under his breath. He hugged the younger and Chenle broke down once again. Kun pitied the other. It really wasn't his fault.

"It's not your fault, Lele." He comforted the broken boy.

"I-It's my fault. If only I-I was stronger." Chenle cried out.

"Don't think like that. Your parents wouldn't like it if you blame yourself."

After a while, Chenle calmed down. "I'll head back to China tomorrow. Your parents told me to enroll you in SM High, where the super students are, so that you will be more protected there." Kun explained.

"You're leaving me alone?"

"Don't worry. You can do this. You're strong right?" Chenle nodded and hugged Kun once again.

"Go eat your breakfast." Kun pointed to the food on the bedside table then left the room. Chenle sighed. This is the start of his new life.
