It’s been 2 weeks since the last time I saw Shailene in school. I’m wondering what could’ve happened? Not anyone in the school can tell where she is and what happened to her.
“She just suddenly disappeared.” That’s what I always hear whenever the people talked about her.
Her family was out of the country and the school can’t contact them. People were thinking that maybe she had followed them. But they said that knowing her, she was never absent in her soccer trainings and events. She can disappear anywhere but not in the field. That’s why her coach and team mates can’t believe what is happening.
“Something’s not right” I was thinking to myself.
I know that we’ve only talked once and we just started our friendship but I have to do something. I need to find out where she is or just know that she’s okay.
I’ve decided to save one whole day just to look for her. I was like a detective; I biked around the whole town and asked questions to some people that she made contact before her disappearance. I wrote down everything, even the smallest details that will lead me to her whereabouts but it’s almost 10pm already and still no trace of her. So I decided to go home and I’ll continue the searching the next day.
I was on my way home when suddenly a car behind me is trying to get my attention by signaling the headlights on and off.
“Pull over!” the person in the car shouts
“The voice sounds familiar” I was thinking to myself
So I stop my bike on the side of the road and the car behind me did the same. I got very surprised when the person gets out of the car. It was Shailene!
Me: “Hey where have you been?! Everyone’s looking for you.”
Shailene: “I know..get in the car. I’ll tell you everything”
