Chapter 6 - Powers

Up on the deck there was so much tension i could feel it. As soon as my father.. i mean fellen heard us he came over straight away looking really worried, probably at how i would take the news.

"Everythings fine, i told her everything, she knows who you are, who she is, who they was and where were going" Ruby told fellen in a very serious way.

"Good now lets get to work we need to show her how to control her magic and use It well, take her to the other side of the boat and teach her please Ruby"

"Of course fellen"

RRuby tugged at my arm for me to follow her down to the other side of the boat, Crystal followed to. I can't believe that I'm a witch, me of all people....there was one thing Ruby hadn't mention though.....those dreams i kept having...i know she knew about that i could see it in her eyes....

"Right first go put this one" Ruby thrusted a black dress at me that came just bellow the knees it was beautiful it had my name sewn onto the front in small letters and the royal purple flower that was in the hallway of my home.....this must be the mark of my people? after i had put it on i went back out ruby already had hers on hers was a long black dress, it touched the floor and it clung tight to her skin it had long sleeves the with apointy end and there was a ring that went over her finger she also had the royal purple flower and her name on her dress.. Crystal came out just after me and her dress was just above the knees hers was black and had the royal purple flower on it and her name on it just like mine and Ruby's

"There we are, you look like a proper daylight now" she said it with a big smile on her face but worry in her eyes.

"Right lets get to work" Crystal said alsmot bouncing up and down.

"Right Amethyst you need to clear your mind, think of nothing but what you are about to do pt everything to the back of your mind, then concentrate on something and see what happens"

I did as i was told, i put the prince of darkenss to the back of my mind, all his guards, everything my sister had told me earlier, that fact that i didn't know my real mother or father, the fact i was a witch. I then concentrated on the small chair that was sat in the corner of the deck, it started to float in the air then i started to get mad and it burst into flames.

"Woah! what happened" Ruby said rushing over to me.

"I-I-I got angry and it just burst into flames"

"Well thats why im here to help you with your magic"

Crystal just sat over on the bench at the side of the deck watching.

"Right try again but this time use your hands to make something move"

I concentrated on this piece of rope, and it worked i actually made it float.

"Yes!! you did it Amethyst!" Ruby and Crystal squealed as they ran over to my side.

"Oh my...I actually did it!!!"

"Well if you keep practising at it then you will be able to do it straight away with our thinking about it" Ruby said while smilling at me.

I practised this for about 1 hour untill i had perfected it which would usualy take someone about 3 days minimum to perfect.

"Right now you need to learn all the spells, Here" She handed me one of our ancestors spell books " this is our great-great-great-great-great grandmothers spell book take good care of it, this should help you learn all the spells by heart as well, after all she was the most powerful witch of all time" and with that she and crystal walked away leaving me with this spell book.

I walked abit more around the corner and sat down studying the spell book. After i had studied it i worked my way through the book trying to remember all the spells by heart and get them right.

*********4hours later********

"Amethyst! Amethyst! you've been doing this for over 3 hours now!" Ruby shouted as she came around the corner.

"I know but i think i have perfected most of the spells" I said this with a big grin on my face.

"Ok then lets see"

I started to show her what i could do, what i had learnt. All colours of the rainbow and more came shooting from my hands. Rubys face lit up every time i did a spell and it was perfect. It made me feel so happy to see tht i was learning and progressing well.

"Wow Amethyst you really are the chosen one....All of this would of took about 4 months to perfect it took your 4 hours!"

"I'm Ready"

"Ready for what Amethyst?"

"This"

"whats 'this'?"

"You know everything being the 'chosen one' being a witch, being hunted down by the prince of darkness, who by the way is very sexy" i winked as i said the last part.

"Amethyst Black! you stay away from him! I mean it! hes the enemy, hes trying to seduce you trying to get you to go to him so he can capture and kill you...."As she said that he voice wavered. Something was up.

"Whats up?" I said concerned.

"Nothing...ugh...well legend has it that the princess of daylight and the prince of darkness are meant....to....be...together? like thereattracted to each other no matter how much hate they have for each other..."

"What? seriously? well that will never happen so don't worry"

"Ok i won't"

I didn't believe her i knew she was worrying and she will always worry until shes proved wrong. We walked slowly around the corner.

"ummm Ruby?"

"Yeah hun?"

"'I've been having these dreams.....of me somewhere and someone watching me? chasing me? laughing at me? do you know what it is?"

"Oh god...I knew this was coming......Its the prince of darkness, Nereza that's his name Nereza White. He must have a witch or wizard on his side....which means some one has betrayed the Daylights....anyway he must be using them to get into your mind, your dreams and he makes it so real and he actually is in your dreams its real but its only a dream? do you get me?"

"ummm no?"

"Well its a dream but its real, say if you got hurt in the 'dream' then it would appear when you woke up, but you cannot die, its nothing to worry about really just dont let him get into your mind, there are things you can do to stop him and to fight him off " She said that with faith, like she believed in me which made me smile.

By this time we had reached Fellen And Ericity (The people i thought were my mother and father but they are not they are actually my aunt and uncle) they looked very calm and was talking quietly with Crystal probably about where we are going which is to genova (the land of the daylights).

"Hello dear child" Fellen said as he greeted me.

"Hello unlce Fellen"

"Have you learnt how to use and control your powers yet?"

"Yes i have i can do just about every spell in the book and i can control my powers and do thm well" I said this in a very serious formal way.

"Good well we are nearly at genova so we must make charm you and make you undetectable to the darkness's"

"Ok uncle Fellen"

Crystal Ruby Uncle Fellen and aunt Ericity started to make me undetectable so only the daylights could see me but not the darkness's.

**10 minutes later....**

"Done, it should have a strong hold on you for about 3 hours until we can decide where to take you, even though the darkness's can not get onto our land still have to take precaution, as we now know that they have a witch or wizard on their side" Ericity said this very slowly and quietly, like people were listening.

"Were here" Fellen bellowed over the silence.
