Chapter 2 - Ride to the docks

Chapter 2

We'd been travelling for hours. I was so confused, i had no idea where we was going all i know is that we had to get out of the country. We had to drive all the way to a little place called whipington. It's where all the ferrys depart from the country and it was at the other side of the country. The journey seemed to take for ever I couldn't bare it any longer so i fell to sleep....

Oh crap! not again...I was running down a long never ending corriedoor that smelled vile. It smelt like death. I could hear screams from all around me. Most of them were my screams. Something was after me. It was coming for me. I don't know what but i can feel it. It's comeing. I can hear the footsteps.It's nearly here! The foot steps grew louder and louder. I screamed. The foot steps were right behind me now. Something brushed against my shoulder that was icy cold but i couldn't tell what...was i was being woken up....

"Amethyst!, Amethyst!, wake up! your scaring me!"

I woke up to the sounds of my sister, Ruby almost crying telling me to wake up.

"huh? Ruby? what's going on? where am i?" i said still half asleep.

"Your in the car Amethyst were still driving to whipington, actually were nearly there. Are you ok? you was screaming and fidgeting an awful lot?"

"ohh yeah im fine thanks Ruby"

My Mother was asleep and luckily i didn't wake her crystal was also asleep but she was stirring so wouldnt more than likely be waking up anytime soom. My Father was in passenger seat and the black screen was pulled across so he couldn't hear and the chofere was driving.

"Ruby how long left till we get there?" i said it soo quite it was almost so she couldnt hear me.

"About 10 minutes" She smiled at me as she said it.

Ruby was my older sister she was 18 and i was 16 but i loved her and we got along great, crystal on the other hand was only 14 and she wasn't very easy to get along with, she would ask for your opinion on something then decide against it or something, or just start arguments over nothing, but i loved her with all my heart no matter how hard she made it for me, she also looked out for me even though our relationship wasnt that great at times. But Ruby....she was different she looked out for me and i felt like i could tell her everything, and i do tell her everything and she tells me everything aswell. Ruby had shiny long brown hair that flowed down her back. Her eyes were the deepest, but lightest brown colour almost a ruby red. Her cheeks were always a rosy red colour, always had colour in her cheeks no matter what. Her body was so skinny, to skinny if you ask me her curves really stood out her hips werent massive but they were the right size for her body. She had really long slender legs. Crystal was so much different from Ruby her eyes were a crystal like colour but more greyish that had a spark to them, her eye lashes were the longest and she used them quite alot to get her own way. Her hair was a nest of ringlets that flowed down her back to her waist, she was a small girl but she wasnt as skinny as Ruby. Her cheeks were pretty much always pink and full of colour, her legs were long but her body wasnt that long so her height was average for her age.

"Amethyst were here..." she said softly.

"Huh? oh right ok" i was a little dazed after being so deep in thoughts.

I stepped out of the car first while Ruby woke up my mother and sister. My father was already out of the car and speaking to the captain of a boat. My sister soon followed me out of the car saying that our mum will be out of the car soon and Crystal was just gathering herself together.

"So what do we do now Ruby?" i said while i examined her blank face.

"I don't know we could go and sit over there and wait till we are told otherwise?"

"sure"

But just as we moved our father beckoned us to go over to him so we did.

"I want you two to get back in the car we are now going to drive onto the ferry"

"Ok father" we choursed

And with that we got into the car...
