●The Drama Deluxe●Flipping through my commerce text book, I take down some formulas I need for my test on Tuesday.
Its Sunday. And right now we are having our afternoon prep before sports but since I'm not a sports maniac and the inter house sports event is all over I don't really see the use of sporting out again, unlike me the boys are still very sporty, I can tell coz they aren't reading at all instead they're gathered at the back of class talking about their next football game. Pssh. Boys.
I'm deciding to read a novel during sports since thats the best thing I can do. I'm wearing a plain baggy grey shirt with a matching grey mini skirt, ankle length grey socks and sandals today, coz I'm actually not feeling so sporty.
For the past 20 minutes of prep although I'm trying my best to at least grab something my brain seems to fight everything trying to come in, instead it drifts back to yesterday. Yeah, yesterday was a hell of a day. After that tragic scene of David kissing Sally..you can guess it, I literally cried my eyes out. I don't know the real reason why I did but -
Shut up! No buts! You've got a crush on David!!, my subconsciousness cuts me off
I roll my eyes.
As I was saying, I don't know why I cried. Probably because...
You've got feelings for him! My subconsciousness cuts me off. AGAIN.
Ok fine. Coz I've got feelings for him, but why will he kiss Sally if he seemed perfectly happy with Alexandra outside. So I don't get why the hell he will decide to cheat on her with Sally, I mean, Alexandra's got all the right curves, a perfect face and a not too perfect personality but a good one, why will any boy cheat on her!? Pshhh. I guess we're not perfect as the world stereotypes us. Top up he cheated in public! Where the fucking entire set could see him! Damn! Maybe he ain't that smart as I thought he was.
Why you yabbing him if you love him? My subconsciousness black mails.
Well because -
"Alexandra!!!!!!" A voice screams in class cutting me off my thoughts. Its Timmie.
Oh wow! She's back. No surprise to why he's screaming. Alexandra and Timmie are best friends and it's a tradition in Marquis Academy that we hug each other when someone returns, its not like it's a school rule or something we just really seem to love hugging each other even if the person was gone for a minute. Weird? Pssh. Leave it. That's Marquis Academy for you.
I face backwards observing the scene. Timme bear hugs Alexandra as she jokingly tries to break free.
"Psst." Tokoni's voice slips into my ear.
I turn to face her, she has this goofy grin plastered on her lips.
"Today's gonna be full with gist oh. And its gonna be hot!" She whispers so no one hears her except me.
"I bet, she'll get to know today. The boys said we shouldn't say anything to her till David tells her himself," I say.
She rolls her eyes "Abeg leave that thing. No dey deceive yourself. We both know this is Marquis Academy, she'll even know before dinner time. Let's bet on it," she shoots back.
I'm about talking when from my side sight I catch David's tall figure walk through the door, slowly I turn to see if anything pops up. Following in sync Tokoni does the same.
His hazel eyes sweeps across the class selecting and dropping eye contacts, I start to pull off my gaze when his eyes connect with mine. Instantly I feel my cheeks burn, goosebumps running their way to my neck.
