(Book Two) My name is...well you know my name and I think I'm gay. No, I'm sure of it. I'm in love with my best friend. She is wild, reckless, and the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. I love her not just for her beauty but her soul. She pulled me...

"Oh, I see." She places her hand on my leg. "If you want, I can be your first?"
Charli's stare is smoldering. It's hot in here. The rooms temperature has spiked. I look down at my glass of water. It's cold and I take a sip from it.
"That's adorable. You're blushing."
Ugh. I hate my blush. It's not fair everyone can see my internal turmoil. Her calling it out only makes my face flush hotter.
"So, if you've had sex. But not with a woman? That makes you...?" She drags out.
"Bisexual," I finish.
"Right," She says and takes a sip from her wine.
I'm suddenly insecure about it. It's the way she's said it. Like she doesn't quite believe me. What doesn't she believe about it? I'm bisexual. I think.
"And you?" I say, "What do you identify as?"
She laughs. "Do you have to ask?"
Actually, I do. I'm not good at figuring these things out. It took me half a year to figure out Ari was into me. Though when I think about how she'd acted around me it seems kind of obvious. In my defense, had Ari been half as forward as Charli it would've been a lot more helpful. But maybe Ari was still trying to figure things out for herself. Charli already has everything figured out. If I were to guess I'd say Charli is...
"Lesbian. One hundred percent," She says proudly.
I narrow my eyes at her.
"What does that make me fifty percent?"
She shrugs. "I can help you find out."
Then she squeezes my thigh. She is coming on strong. I can't stop myself from looking around again to see if anyone is watching.
"Why do you do that?"
"What?" I meet her gaze.
"Look around every time I touch you. No one is going to judge you here. And the people out there." She points outside the bar. "Screw them if they do. It's none of their business."
