Chapter 4 - Lost Connection

Sigh.

Adrien sighed dreamily as he thought about his disguised kiss with Ladybug.

"Does this mean we're a couple now Plagg?" Adrien asks his Kwami, who is munching on some Camembert.

"I don't know." The black cat shrugs while tossing a piece  a cheese in the air and catching it with his mouth.

"Ladybug said she loves me Plagg. I've been waiting for this for three years. She finally loves me." He smiles looking at a picture of his masked lover.

"It was probably just a heat-of-the-moment thing. You both thought you were about to die. Which btdubs, kinda an over dramatic event considering Lila was so easy to beat." Plagg says as he looks through Adrien's drawer for more cheese.

"We haven't defeated her yet. I have a feeling she tried to be Akumatized. She seemed fine when we talked in the hallway." Adrien points out.

"Hey do you got anymore cheese stacked anywhere?" Said Plagg careless about his owners worries.

Adrien smirks then gives his hungry Kwami a piece of cheese.

"Tikki what did I do!" Marinette hadn't gotten much sleep the night before.

"You followed your gut... unfortunately for your your gut was kissing Chat Noir." Said Tikki.

"No I didn't kiss Chat Noir Ladybug kissed Chat Noir. Marinette wasn't there!" Marinette Said, frustrated at herself. Now she was in a predicament. She has a long term crush on Adrien, but is going to the dance with Luka, and occasionally kisses Chat Noir.

"Marinette," The panicking girl's mother says knocking on the trapdoor leading to her bedroom.

"Luka's here." She opens the trapdoor revealing the blue-tipped hair walking up the stairs. I small grin was on the boys face and he seemed a little nervous.

"Oh Luka! W-what brings you here!?" Marinette said nervously as Tikki hid behind a dresser.

"Well, rumor has it you and I are going to the dance together." Jokes Luka as he finally reaches the teenager's room.

"Right... I meant to meet up with you about my answer-"

"It's yes I hope." Says the boy looking straight into Marinette's eyes, and no where else.

"Y-Yeah it is..." Marinette rubs her left arm with her right showing she's nervous.

"Great. Luka steps closer to her. "Well maybe we could hang out a bit before the dance. I'd like to get to know you Marinette. Even though we're already pretty close, there's something about you, there's more." He says softly as he glances around her room.

He notices the picture of Adrien hanging around Marinette's room. "Fashion huh?" The boy thinks quietly as jealousy begins to arise.

"Thanks Luka, but ive still gotta make plans for my dress, and I promised Alya I'd be at her rehearsal today. I'm really sorry." Marinette says, hopefully excusing herself from having to spend time with Luka.

"Oh... Well then I'll help you. I have some great ideas for a dress design." Luka puts down a backpack and pulls out a sketchbook. Her sits down on Marinette's bed, joining her.

"Wow Luka. I never knew you could draw so well." she adds as he flips through the pictures of different characters, including Chat Noir and Ladybug.

"I was thinking a Ladybug inspired dress would be cool." Luka says showing the girl some drawings of Ladybug.

"L-Ladybug! Hehe why Ladybug? Plus don't you think others may have thought of finding dresses based off of such a common superhero." Marinette says, paranoid that Luka may know something.
