3rd Person POV

Things were running smoothly, Bella May was so far successful with her homework. Her research on Confucius was nearly complete, her energy tank was running on low. It was 11 pm but coffee and a nap would be nice.

Just the thought of her drinking coffee recharged her batteries a little. Sluggishly, Bella put on her tennis shoes and grabbed her purse. She didn't even mind she was in her pajamas, she just want coffee, a nap, and to get back to her studies.

As she pulled on her cotton sweatshirt with a hoodie, she made sure to keep her glasses on her face. Last time, they fell off and she accidentally broke them. It was like Velma in Scooby-Doo where her glasses were broken.

Out the door she went. Using her amazing navigation skills (mobile device with GPS) and went the same path back to the little coffee shop. Walking in the dark was never fun, she looked in her purse and grabbed her flashlight.

With that, the stick of light was brighting the road in front of her. The night was dim but not pitch black like majority of horror films. Ninety percent of the houses were unlit, those who lived in said houses were either sleeping or just keeping the lights off to preserve power.

The small cafe came into sight as Bella approached it. There seemed to be no one but an employee in the shop. Hesitantly, she went in, mostly to escape the clutches of the night. Though it was pretty late and near closing time, the store still smelt of freshly brewed, hot coffee. Before forgetting, she shut off her flashlight.

The barista was a tall teenager with vivid green hair that stood out. It was the boy she saw at school. A boy like him wouldn't be working in a place like this unless he drank coffee. Her presence seemed to be strong enough to sense for the boy turned on his heels to face the tiny girl.

His mesmerizing green eyes stood out with his unnatural hair, his beauty mark on the left side of his cheek brought attention to his plump lips. His rounded off, button nose was complimented by a basic ring person on his right nostril.

A black beanie rested on his unkempt hair, a cute little pin on the hat. The way he focused intensely on her was tad bit unsettling. A smirk laid across his lips.

"It's a bit rude to stare, at least order a coffee before you continue to lose yourself in my handsomeness," he chuckled out a joke, forcing her out of her daze. She didn't even think twice about the words that came out of his mouth.

"J-just an americano would be great," she stuttered our her order, mentally cursing herself for stumbling over her words.

Bella May pulled her due amount of cash out of her purse and paid for the coffee. Away the barista went, the making of the warm brew always was so enchanting to watch. Before long, the hot liquid was in a mug and in her hands.

Quietly, she sat down in one of the booths and enjoyed the bitter sweet taste of the drink. The white fairy lights hung around the shop added perfect lighting though it was wee hours of the night. Her americano looked perfect in it's positioning and it was too perfect to not snap a photo.

She pulled out her mobile device, an IPhone X with an Ice Bear case from the show "We Bare Bears". As she was angling her phone to take the picture, a shadow shone upon the table.

Bella May looked up grouchily looked up and spied upon the barista boy. He just stood there leaning, in the way.

"If you're going to make yourself useful, sit down and add some aesthetic but get the hell out of my shot," the girl didn't think twice about her words, her sassy tone was enough to make the boy chuckle and take a seat in front of her.

With that mess out of the way, she focused the camera on the cup and snapped a few photos at different angles so she would have choices. She sipped her coffee, ignoring the barista.

"What brings you into the cafe so late?"

Bella was a bit startled, peering up at the green haired boy. She stumbled and mumbled out a "I just w-wanted coffee."

"You sure?"

"Yeah."
