The fall

The next day you and Beverly followed them.

"Who's going first then?" Richie said. You laughed. You and Beverly stripped down to under wear.

"Why don't I?" Beverly asked.

"You're insane I'm obviously going first." You laughed.

"Oh really?" She asked. You and her took off at the same time, and you did a flip on the way down.

"That was sick!!!" Richie shouted. Jumping in with Billy. Eddie jumped in next, and then Stan.

"Cold." You shivered.

"Wimp!" Richie said.

"Says the one who wouldn't jump!" You laughed. You looked at Eddie who's face was half submerged in water. He was looking at you as well. Caught staring he looked away. As well as you did. You splashed Richie.

"Oh now you've done it!" Richie started chasing you around. He ended up dunking you under water. You felt something wrap around your leg... Not a hand though. You managed to get your head above the water.

"Help!" You managed out. The one person paying enough attention was Eddie. He went under the water and tried to unknot the Lily pad. When it didn't work he came up for air when he went back under the vine came loose. Eddie came back up and visibly gagged. "Did you...  Chew through the Lily pad?" He nodded.

"You were gonna drown." He said. "I'd rather risk sickness than letting someone drown." You noticed everyone had went to the beach. You and Eddie, the late bunch went back and grabbed your towels. You, unlike the others sat behind the rock they used to stare at Beverly and talked. He was scratching a bug bite. You picked up a hot rock and placed it over the bite. "What are you doing?"

"Hot rocks can help with itching." You explained, not realizing your towel unwrapped slightly.

"O-oh thanks." Eddie looked away, but proceeded to sneakily check you out. But not to say you weren't guilty yourself, it's not like he had abs, he was just thin... And cute.

"Hey! Are you two flirting over there?" Beverly asked. You gulped fully averting your eyes to shout.

"Beverly!!!" You whined. "No!!! Since when are you interested in my love life?"

"Since now." She shrugged sitting down. Eddie gulped embarrassed.

".....Oh crap!!" You shouted.

"Huh?" Richie said.

"I got distracted i was supposed to-" you covered your mouth. "-Make some money... I'll.. be right back." You got up to leave but fell backwards. "ow!"

"Let me see!" Eddie said sitting down next to you. He twisted your foot gently. You winced in pain Everytime he moved it.

"It's like the Lily pad jumped out an grabbed me.." you laughed nervously. "That seems to be common thing lately."

"What does that mean?" Richie asked.

"...Nothing." you sighed.

"It seems like the Lily pad may have given you some whiplash and strain on your ankle." Eddie said. "You shouldn't walk on it too much."

".....Do you remember when you grabbed my arm?" You asked. "Or when You grabbed my arm when you were treating it?"

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to offend you!" Eddie said.

"That's not it, I just... Don't like touching." You said. "I have a bad history with physical contact, it always ends up with blood shed."

"Yeah, I may have not mentioned that y/n doesn't do dating often, so if she chooses to date someone I won't stop her." Richie said.

"Geez, now this is getting weird." You took some ace bandages from your bra and wrapped your foot.

"Why did you...?" Eddie asked.

"I expected Henry to be here, I was gonna tie him up." You said. "Looks like it ended up the opposite person being bandaged." You teared the bandage as you said that.

"Maybe you and Richie should stay at my place, it's the closest." Eddie said.

"Sure." You smiled.
