RED ROOM (JENLISA)

CHAPTER 10: •CONTRADICTION•

*ROBBYN*

Groaning softly, I found myself still lodged inside the red room. I exhaled deeply to symphatize with my frustrations as I felt everything like a never ending perdition, not a life after death but a fucking hell after death. Staring at the ceiling, the dark redness of the area engulfed me with the familiarity of what hidden deep inside of me. One second, a heavy footsteps caught my attention. It wasn't the same sound of light and feathery steps of Ruby whenever she arrives, it was different. Without a second thought, I worked my throat to yell for help, to have a tiniest bit of hope of escaping the place. As I stop shouting for salvation, I heard a loud thump from the front door and the bright light blasted inside the room making me peek with one eye open, a tall shadow figure of someone stood in front of me.

"Jesus christ!" Taehyung hollered, completely horrified by the sight of me shackled against the bed post. "What the fuck is happening?! Did she do this to you?"
His hand clutched the metal cuffs, trying to find a way to get it off from my wrists. He swiftly walked away and came back with a bolt cutter to break the small chain that connects from the metal post. I sat up and let out a sigh of relief. I need to get out from here.

Shooting my gaze at the man, Taehyung met mine as he take note of what I thought. "I'll get you out from here." He shrug of his jacket and wrapped it around my torso, Taehyung helped me to stand up, for so long I felt my legs struggle to find the strength. Two large hands palmed my shoulder, rubbing it softly with affection. "I got you Robbyn, I got you." He assured.
Him and I walked at the backyard to avoid meeting Ruby in the front house, Taehyung helped me to sit at the shotgun seat, on the other hand, I relaxed myself against the soft sensation of the leather, sensing the heaviness of my eyelids, I submerged to a deep slumber.

Waking up, I remain seated at the front seat of Taehyung's car. Sitting straight up, my eyes narrowed into slits to look for Taehyung, the door suddenly opened and my heart raced in panic with the idea of Ruby abducting me for the second time around but found the man who helped me escape the red room holding a paper bag and a drink on his hand. "Did I startle you?" He looked at me with softness within his features, "I'm sorry Robbyn." Taehyung muttered. He handed me the drink, opening the paper bag that contains burger and a fries. My mouth watered with the smell and craved to taste the greasy food, I sipped for a moment until Taehyung confronted me with a question about her wife.

"Tell me Robbyn, did she do this to you?" He stared at the bruises and marks that Ruby bestowed upon my skin. I didn't speak for a second to sip from the straw,

"Is there anyone in your house who live other than your wife? Someone who had the strength to hid me at your basement and torment me? Fuck, Taehyung of course it's your damnest wife."

Loss for words, Taehyung mildly shook his head. "I-- I don't think-- I can't believe Ruby can do this crazy thing."

I let out a mocking laugh, "A woman can be crazy when they found out that their husband is having sex with other women. Can't you see how fucking deluded Ruby is?"

Taehyung slips his hand on his hair, showing a frustrated and anxious look on his face. "Oh my god Robbyn, I'm so fucking sorry. I don't know what had gotten on Ruby's mind." He squeezed me with his biceps and found no comfort with it. Taehyung backed away and assured me to drive me back in my apartment.

For a while, I gained back a bit of my energy, thanks for the sleep and food that Taehyung provided. Back in my isolated apartment, everything inside the place is still the same, as if that I've got back from a vacation. A rollercoaster ride to Ruby Jane's hell. Taking the key from the floor mat, Taehyung pushed the door open and led his way to the livingroom. Peeling the jacket from my torso, I heard the man muttered a curse under his breath. My body froze and eyes turned wide. Fuck.
