Niamh's personality is the best thing you could ever experience. She listens to you. She sorts out your problems. She'll make you laugh if you are sad. She is the best.
She talks a lot about how she is different then anyone else. Well, how different she has to be at home.
Autism. Angus has autism. Angus is Niamh's brother.
Her home life isn't like others but she has to deal with it. It's not massively different but she's grown to accept it.
One night, her dad was at a pub downtown; her uncle too. He was in the toilet when men came rushing in, claiming he was in possession of cocaine. Beaten to the bone. He got through it, went to court and pleaded innocent.
He was innocent.
She nearly lost her dad that night.
She didn't want that for Angus. Dad was the light in Angus' life, he wouldn't be able to survive without him.
Oh and another thing, Niamh is a lesbian.
Very out of the blue I know.
Now this this girl flaunts it. She is not afraid to mouth off to people that she's gay and if they don't like it then they can 'piss off'.
Most of her friends are bisexual. Some fully gay.
But the girl she hangs out with, Violet, isn't gay and would never even think about being gay.
Niamh claims she's okay about it but deep down she isn't. We can see it in her face when Violet leaves.
She goes by it, saying 'if it's meant to happen it will'. She wants it to happen.
She says it's just a crush but it's not. It is 100% not. It's something different.
