The sun shone through the windows, lightening the room as the bedsheets rustled and arms spread out to stretch. While stretching, Emily yawned sleepily and sat up on the bed. She rubbed her eyes, looked around her room and her attention was drawn to the birds who were cheeping happily outside. It was always great to wake up to such relaxing and chilling sounds instead of an annoying beeping alarm clock. Emily smiled before she got up to take a cold shower. She wondered if Brahms was still asleep. It was still very early and she knew that he stayed up past midnight yesterday.
,,He must be tired. What was he even doing?"
she asked herself as cold water ran down her body. Well, she had to go past his room to get to the kitchen anyway, so she could wake him up. When she finished shampooing her hair and washing her body with her favorite body lotion, she got out of the shower and rapped a big towel around her body and a smaller one around her hair, so it could dry a bit before she uses the hair dryer. Emily went to the washbasin that was placed beside the toilet and took her toothbrush and toothpaste. She hummed a melody while brushing her teeth and swung her hips slightly. After that, she dried and combed her hair. Emily got out of the bathroom and made her way to her wardrobe to dress up. She decided to wear a simple white T-Shirt which wasn't really an eye-catcher but still showed off her curves and a black high-waist Jeans. She made a high ponytail out of her hair and took her most precious necklace out of the drawer. It was a birthday present from her mother when she became eighteen. Emily hadn't really had a good childhood. Other kids bullied her in school because of her old, uncool clothes. They were laughing about her parents because her father was a drug addict. Actually, it's not something to laugh about but nobody understood it. Nobody knew that her aggressive father beat her and her mother up every day or that they had financial problems and that she often sat on the dirty ground somewhere and begged for money to buy food. She had more points to mention but it would take decades to mention them all. She lived in that hell for many years and never told anyone about how she felt. She was alone anyway but sometimes her mother cheered her up when she was sad. Emily couldn't trust anyone but her. Her mother tried her best to keep her save but her father was unpredictable when he was under the influence of drugs. When her father finally left the family because of a slut, the mother-daughter duo did their best to survive. Luckily, her mother found a new job at a little grocery store. It was the last school year for Emily and she graduated with success. When she became eighteen, her mother gave her a golden necklace with tiny diamonds on it. Actually, she wanted to sell it in order to buy groceries but she wanted to give her daughter at least one valuable present before Emily leaves to live her own life. Emily appreciated it and gave her mother and emotional hug as a goodbye. It was also the very last moment they shared ...
One year after she left, she got a message from the police. Her mother died because of cancer. But why didn't she tell her ? Well ... there's nothing she could do about that now. That necklace is the only touchable memory she has from her mother. She wears it everyday and takes good care of it. It never got lost, not even for once. Emily left the past behind her, started a new life and here she is !
Living in a big old house with a man called Brahms who wears a mask to cover his scars on his face because he was left behind in burning house when he was a small boy. And now he's tall, super strong, well built, mysterious and even with his mask on ... he's attractive. Everyone can call her crazy for calling him hot and liking the guy who scares the shit out of others and kills everyone who harms her ...
,,What a crazy world we're living in" she thought to herself and a slight smile graced her lips.
