chapter 4 It just got real

I was waiting for Chlo to come out of school I didn't think it would take her so long to get back to the ducati. I sighed a breath of relief when I saw her heading toward me. When she got close enough I could see her smiling from ear to ear. Which I hadn't been expecting I thought she was upset with Trevor she had said so in her text messenges she had sent. So seeing her looking all excited was a shock. It made me wonder what put that smile on her face or better yet who. It had to be Trevor right? So why did I get a Knot in my stomach the size of a bowling ball. " Izzy Izzy Izzy you'll never believe what happened! I totally just made Trevor jealous."She said smiling like that was the best thing in the world." Oh yeah? so how did you do that."I slowly asked her? " I met this guy whose new here and He asked me out infront of Trevor. Oh, and did I mention he was hot?"Still smiling she continued where she left off."Well he was definitly hot. I think it made Trevor see how undesprate I am." She rushed. "whoa whoa slow down Chloe Thats great you got asked out. So whats his name." Isbella proded " Alex short for Alistair Crane." Chloe crooned "Whaaat?" I was so stunned and shocked I almost swallowed my tongue or was that my bubble gum? I recovered as quickly as I could."Chlo I don't think going out with him is such a good Idea." I said hoping she would just say okay and not make this hard."Why shouldn't I go out with him?" I should have known she wouldn't make it that easy." Chlo I know things didn't go as well with Trevor as you hoped it would but you can't start dating some guy you don't know on the rebound." I said hoping she wouldn't get mad at me. "Technically I've never dated Trevor so how can this date be on the rebound? Chloe stated." I'm just saying Chloe you don't know him you just met him today." I said trying another tactic. " Isbella Cardinal why are you fighting me so much on this? You are supposed to be my best friend and be happy for me." Chloe said looking sad." "Chloe I'am you best friend and will always be,lets finish this later. Hop on." Iz said

"What the hell happened?" I demanded. As soon as Chloe went home I called Trevor to find out what in the world was going on. "I don't know I tryed talking to Chloe she wouldn't listen. Now she's going out with a blood sucking vamp. tomorrow and nothing I say will change her mind. So yeah, thats whats happening." I knew something was wrong I could feel it.I was hoping and wishing I was wrong but I wasn't. I guess I was quiet for too long because Trevor spoke before I could respond."Do you think you could you know talk her out of it? She'll listen to you." If only he knew how stubborn she was he'd have known that wasn't an option."I've tryed but she wants to know why she shouldn't. I don't have any reasons besides the fact that he is a blood sucking murderer who wants to kidnapp her. Well we both know I can't very well tell her that." I said getting more fustrated by the minute I tryed to push it down since frustration would get us no where."Then what are we going to do?" He asked " The only thing we can do. Talk to the elders." 

I called the elders after I hung up with Trevor. They where very upset of course well more then upset. They called a meeting and the meeting is tonight at my house. They don't usually call for meetings in this manner nor do they meet at pack members houses. So this was serious more then serious." MOM!" I shouted

Two hours later they were all sitting in my living room looking too big for the not so big room. Some set,some stood but you could tell that they weren't ordinary men they radiated too much power. It poured from them like a fountain you could almost see. Not too many friendly faces among them. Some looked infuriated, some looked, grave,some looked uncomfortable but they all looked imposing even the women."Welcome to our home. Can I get you all anything?" mom politly asked. "Sophia you know why we are here and it is no time for pleasantries." Alpha Dante said he was a tall and muscular man in about his 40's."Yes of course Alpha Dante' forgive me for not properly thinking." My mother said like a scolded kid I hated seeing her like that but you had to give your alphas respect even though he wasn't Alpha to our particular pack but all the packs were in alliance. "Lets get started. We all know that the young Knight was headed here. Isabella Cardinal has informed us tonight that the blood sucker has infiltrated the school and has made contact with the girl. More so then just contact he has asked her on a date in order to kidnapp her no doubt. We all need to decide the next best course of action." informed Alpha Dante."I think its time to tell her the truth or atleast partially we can't protect her if she walks into a trap willing or they coerse her into joining their league before we have presuded her I believe it is the only way." Alpha Sam said while looking everyone in the eyes to drive his point home. The only thing I didn't like about the whole alpha and pack meeting was that the pack didn't really have much say. We couldn't even voice our opions without being asked first. So this really burned me up because I agreed with Sam whole heartedly. " Telling her could be too much for her to handle Sam. Telling her could push her farther away from us." Harper said the oldest of the only two women alphas of the group. I never really did like her she always acted as if being a hard ass would compensate for the fact that she was female and not a male like most alphas. " I agree with Sam, now is not the time to keep sheltering her. We are in a position now that we must act fast before it is too late. We need to all think of how serious this really is. If they capture her, she would be the greatest weapon too great for anything we could produce or do and we would be at the vampire king's mercy." Alpha Cinder said softly. Cinder is the youngest Alpha female of the group. She's by far my favorite. There was frantic whispering after Cinder spoke." Silence!" Alpha Dante roared. The whispers immediately ceased. " Alpha Cinder has made some valid points. That we all have to take in consideration." Dante said while slowly looking each leader in the eye to drive it home. After another hour of debating they finally agreed on using Cinder's plan.

I was grateful they did. I watched every Alpha leave my home. I breathed better once they had all left.
