It was independence and Derry was throwing a parade through all the missing kids, not a care in the world. As for the loser club they had other plan

Eddie Cornwall missing poster was on top "they said they found part of his hand chewed up near the standpipe." Dylan was grossed out.

"He asked to borrow a pencil once." Ben says. Dylan shakes her head " all the missing kids deserve better." Bill flips a page seeing Betty ripsom's missing underneath.

"It's like she's been f-f-f-forgotten because Corcoran's missing." Bill says. Dylan gives the boy a sympathetic look. "Do you guys think it's ever going to end?" Dylan says.

Eddie watched from a distance seeing Jane and Richie smiling. Richie was trying to blow a trombone as the man pushed him away he fixed his glasses "what the fuck man!"

Jane walked as she handed her friend a vanilla and chocolate iced cream. Richie smiles "thanks princess." Jane Curtises as Richie bowed down the two friends laugh as they both walk over to their group. "What are you guys talking about?" Jane asked curiously as she handing Dylan a vanilla ice cream.

Jane looked st Eddie as she handed him her ice cream which was chocolate. "What they always talk about Janey." Richie says. "I actually think it will end for a little while at least." Ben admitted.

"What do you mean?" Beverly asked. Jane looked at the boy. "So i was going over all of my data research and I charted out all of the big events. The iron explosion in 1908, the Bradley gang in 35, and the black spot 62.... and now The kids being....." Ben explained soon as he looked at Jane and Bill trying not to say the wrong words.

"I realized this stuff seems to happen every....."

"Every 27 years." Jane says adding up the numbers. The loser's all stayed silent looking at one another.

The losers sat around the derry park. Jane sat next to Richie as Dylan sat next to the mike.

"Okay, so let me get this straight." Eddie says. "IT comes out from wherever to eat kids for like a year, and then what? IT goes into hibernation?" He continued.

Dylan was confused at a point but sorta understood the situation. "Maybe it's like.... what do you call it?" Stanley says. "Cicadas, you know, the bugs that come out once every 17 years?" Dylan asked.

Stanley nods agreeing to his friends statement. "My grandfather thinks this town is cursed. He says that all the bad things that happened in this town are because of one thing, an evil thing that feeds of the people of derry."

"Believe or not my mother has said that too." Dylan comments agreeing with the homeschooled kid.

Jane fiddled with her thumbs as Richie noticed a number '4' on her wrist. He looked at her as she whispered "what?" He pointed at her wrist pressing his thumb gentle on it.
