"What am I doing with my life?" Pin asked herself nervously looking back at the fake cleaner who's at the back seat of her car. She has two choices, to bring her to the police or to bring her to the hospital but she chose to bring her to the hospital.

When the woman fainted, she immediately carried her. There was an adrenalin rush on her veins. She doesn't know why is she helping her but here she is now in the hospital with her.

"Your relationship with the patient?" the nurse asked her while the lady is being taken cared of by the other nurses.

"Um... girlfriend," she lied. "Wait what? Why did I say that?" she asked herself afterwards.

"Her name?"

"Bee."

"Last Name?"

"The f*ck..." she murmured annoyed by the questions to her and she can see that the nurse is real serious, "Summer?" she answered unsure.

"You're not sure of your girlfriend's surname?"

"No, I am just... terrified right now," she reasoned feeling the need to stick with her lie right now.

"What happened?"

"Can't you f*cking see her condition?"

The nurse just shook her head. "I am asking why is her condition like that?"

"I don't know. I came too late and I just saw her like that."

"Her birthday?"

"I don't k..." she paused... "Um September um... eight, nineteen... nineteen seventy-one?"

"She's your girlfriend right?"

"Uh-yeah, that's what I said. Are you deaf?"

The nurse took a deep breath like she doesn't want to believe in Pin, "You're done. Just wait at the lobby," she just told her.

Pin wonders why is she still there at the hospital helping the woman who stole her earrings. Maybe, just maybe, she pities her. The way the man punched her is unforgivable and she hates it every time she hears a news about a battered girlfriend or wife. The fact that she witnessed it all makes her want to take revenge on the man who did that to her. But then again, why is she feeling this way? She must be angry to the woman. She wants to but she can't.

The attending physician then talked to her and advised her that it's just a minor injury. "She's fine. In fact, she can be discharged tomorrow," the doctor informed her. "She's fine," he reiterated and left Pin.

It's already one in the morning and here she is sitting beside her. She is just staring at her when the woman woke up with a shock on her face.

"Surprised to see me? Where's my damn earrings?" Pin asked softly but with all seriousness.

The woman is speechless.

"I may let it pass if you tell me why did you do it," she dared her who looked away from her.

"Well if you don't want to tell me then I shall take over you to the police."

"No, please don't," the woman suddenly begged holding her hand. Pin looks at her hand.

"I don't want to go back inside the jail."

"So you were convicted before?"

"It's a long story..."

"Then make it short. Why did you steal from me?"

"I did it for my mom."

"Your mom? Where is she?"
