Hi, I'm Lion

Okay, I won't tell you my actual name because I don't use it. Just call me the Lion. The liars all make their code name starting with l, i, a, r or s. For example Lily over here; (ouch! Don't pinch me!) hated her old name. Apparently it was sort of a boy's name. She changed it to a 'beautiful' name, as she calls it, but it doesn't suit her. (I'm warning you, Lily, if you ever pinch me again, you'll regret it.) Sarah uses her real name, as she is fine with her 'princess' name (wait, Sarah, is it your real name?)

Anyway, what the LIARs do is a bit complicated. The main thing we do is to survive and stay lying. (isn't it pretty obvious?) We do almost anything to live; which is to barter, beg, steal, etc. In order to survive, the new members have to choose their specialty. My job is to barter (duh) with my charming words. (Lily, don't you dare laugh!) With everyone honest, people don't doubt others anymore. By chucking some well worded half-truths and lies, the whole LIARs group gets fed another meal. I guess it's a good thing. Personally, I think everyone is like a robot, since they can't speak anything but truths. But since recently, our crew wonders if it's a really good thing.

Isaac looks as if he's dreading for a coming storm. Then again, he was never a sunshine or particularly bright person. During dinner, he announces something-very-Isaac-I-don't-bother-listening. (Dinner was so glorious I couldn't have concentrated even if I tried) "Huh? What did you say again?" I just squeal as Saturn punches my arm quite hardly. Saturn grins. He never misses a chance to make me a gigantic fool in front of the crew.

Ron clears his throat and looks pointly at me. "Isaac, can you kindly repeat what you just said for Lion? It seems like he wasn't listening." Ron is the oldest in the crew. It doesn't make him the leader, but most (except Lily) tends to listen to him. Of course, Isaac not unkindly repeats his short speech. "Everyone's getting more and he needs it for his sick brother and will return it, they would not doubt he is lying at all, and will hand $100 without hesitation." Lizard grins darkly with his certainly standing out suspicious looks, but the smirk falls as a moment of silence washes over the crew, and this even caught my attention.

Then the youngest of our crew, Sissy reluctantly raises her tiny pale hand. (she is only 6years old!) "Isn't that a good thing?" she squeaks with her whiney voice. Ron smiles sadly at her. "Yes and no. Sure, it would better for us to survive, but with all the pain the pill causes, the brains of people (99.7% of the population of the world) would get too much shock, and they would be unable to read, write, or basically anything."

By this, you might be curious or confused what the pill actually does. The honesty pill makes people speak only the truth by causing them pain in their brain whenever they are lying. (don't ask me how I know this) I really don't know why people are still taking the pills, but we predict the pill is addicting. In my opinion, I was glad our crew would be likely to live quite long. But in the other hand, I was extremely worried. What would happen if no one's brain was functioning properly? (except us, but still) With every losing their appetite, everyone just stared at the feast. Me? I was chewing a piece of soft bread. (because, what a waste of food?) Lily glared at me like I'm stupid. Annoyed, I mouthed 'what do you want to do?' and she instantly mouthed back. 'You know the solution!'. It was my turn to glower. Gritting my teeth, I clearly mouthed 'No way! That is definitely not the solution.' I stood up, gathered all the empty plates, and marched to the kitchen. Lily just sat there, stunned.
