Chapter 8: THE BITTER PAST

"I know his face very well, it was him", said Om to Susan entering the room where everyone was waiting for them. Ana had bought a new car & was giving party to everyone.

Lee: 'About whom are you talking?'

Susan: 'He said he saw Neel'.

Ana: 'Sid is this Neel the one you once were going to say something, but stopped?'

Sid: 'Yes, so what happened when you saw him?'

Lee: 'Nothing I am bit confused whether I saw him or not'.

Su: 'It's better not to open his topic'.

Ana: 'This person you are talking about, did he do something to you all?'

Sid: 'Guys I think we should tell her'.

Krish: 'I too think the same'.

Susan started telling Ana about Trisha. "As first I had told you, at start when I bought this flat, Trisha was my flatmate. Then Meera came & then Om & Lee as neighbours. Trisha was very bubbly & happy go lucky girl & was very much close to us. She was an orphan, but very strong. She was also immature I can say. She always said whatever came to her mind".

Meera added, "Once we had the same prank which we did with you. She was so scared that she got temperature the next day. She was a scaredy cat. We were like a big family. She always adored us & we were dearest to her".

Ana: 'Then why you told me that you don't want to talk about her'.

Lee: 'Once she came home with Neel & introduced him as her boyfriend. We felt very happy for her. But later we came to know that Neel was not a right person for Trisha. He was very dominating & drunkard. Once I saw some bruises on Trisha's hand, but when we asked about it she ignored us'.

Om: 'Slowly Trisha started losing her smile. She was always tensed of doing something & scared to come with us. Neel was always controlling her actions. One day I was going to confess my feelings to Su & I told Trisha about it. She was very happy & started preparing things. When everyone were there in the room & waiting for my confession suddenly some one started to knock the door hardly. When I opened the door it was none other than Neel. He was very furious, because that day Trisha was busy in planning for my confession & didn't pick calls from Neel. He came in & grabbed hands of Trisha & started telling her to pack the bags.'

Meera: 'This time it was too much & I lost my temper & told him to get lost. But he started to give us warnings not to come in his way. I was not able to see Trisha's condition & slapped him. But instead of being on my side Trisha started scolding me & told me to apologize'.

Lee: 'She even was not listening to us. We were telling her that Neel was not the right guy. But she didn't listen to us. Neel had brain washed her & she was not in condition to understand anything. She was believing that guy, that idiot who was harming her mentally. We tried to convince her a lot but she didn't listen'.

Susan: '"I thought you were my family, but you are not. You all don't want me to be happy. You just want me to be your slave for doing things. I don't want you all, I'll just leave". Those were the last words of her. You know that hurt me more. She just said those words to us only for that guy who was dominating. I was shock seeing her leave without even saying good bye'.

"Whenever I open my eyes I see you all. Whenever I see the clouds I see you all smiling. But when I look to myself in mirror I see how rude I was to you all for the guy who was a bastard & then I realised that was running towards something which was not mine. I am sorry guys", said Ana tears rolling down her cheeks.
