Can't Love an Idol...

Chapter 1 Glimpses of past

Y/N woke up by the buzzing sound of the alarm. She slammed the button of the alarm and got up from the bed.

She stretched her arms and then padded towards the window. As soon as she opened the window a gust of wind blew her hair all over her face.

She removed her hair from her face and tuck them behind her ears.

"Baby...are you awake? Come down for breakfast.", her mother shouted from downstairs.

"Yeah Eomma....coming.", she replied and ran towards the bathroom.

After refreshing she got ready and came downstairs.

"Good Morning, Appa!", she greeted her father.

"Good Morning, Y/N!", her father replied with a wide smile and asked, "Are you going somewhere?"

While nibbling her breakfast Y/N said, "Yes, Appa! I got a job of a casheir in the cafe. I told you last week...you forgot?!"

Before Y/N's father can say anything her mother jumped in between them and asked, "Why?? What's the need of doing job?"

Without looking at her mother Y/N replied in a cold tone, "You know the reason, Eomma. I don't want him to pay for my studies."

She got up from her chair and grabbed her bag.

"Y/N, but he is your elder brother. Can't you just forget everything and forgive him? It has been 5 years.", her mother said in a sad monotonous tone.

"I gotta go. Can't be late on the first day of my job.", she said and left the house.

Her mother sighed, "Why can't she forgive him?"

"We can only ask her. We can't force her to do that. Give her some time."

Tears has started filled up in the eyes of Y/N. She doesn't wanted to show them to her parents that's why she hurriedly came out of the house.

She knew that her behaviour hurts her parents but she can't help it. She was so hurt by her elder brother, Minho.

She misses him alot but she knew if she'll forgive him he'll again break her heart.

*Flashback*
*5 years ago*

"Oppa, today is my first ever dance performance on the stage infront of so many people. Please take out some time and come to see my performance.", Y/N pleaded in the phone.

"OK....baby sister! I'll come. Now I have to go...Bye!", Minho replied in a hurry and hung up.

Y/N waited desperately for her Oppa at the entrance of the venue. She was repeatedly calling him again and again but everytime her call was forwarded to voicemail.

Atlast it was time for her performance. Her mother escorted her to the stage. Her parents cheered for her but she wished her brother to be there by her side. She performed well. Everyone was praising her but she was not happy. She was expecting her brother to present there..to watch her perform on the stage for the first time..to encourage her..to cheer for her..but

Minho was not there.

At night someone knocked at the door. Y/N opened the door. A courier boy was standing outside with a big box and an envelope.

He gave it to her and left. Y/N brought those items to her room and opened the box. A small curve appeared on her face when she saw inside the box.

A medium size brown coloured teddy bear was there. She opened the envelope, took the paper and read it.

Hey baby sister,
I am so sorry that I can't able to make it today. I know you must be so hurt. I really wanted to come but I was called for an urgent meeting with the manager for our concerts. You know na baby sis..how busy my schedules are?!

Please sisso...don't be mad at me. I promise next time I'll definitely try to make it up for you.

I really love you alot..sisso and miss you so much!

Y/N kept the letter on the table and took the phone. She dialled the number of Minho.

"I miss you more.", she said as Minho picked up the call.

"I know it, sisso.", Minho replied from the other side of the phone.

They talked for few more minutes until someone called Minho for practice.

Y/N understand her brother's situation. Being an Idol is not an easy task for him. You have to follow strict rules...strict diet plans...strict schedules..You can't just ditch practice sessions and go to your family members. Group is first and music is everything. Y/N knew all these things but sometimes she felt bad to miss her brother alot. Sometimes she just wanted her Oppa to be her Oppa only not an Idol. She feels proud of him too but she misses the old times...old Y/N and old Minho...

Few days later Y/N arranged a family outing. She called Minho to be there for lunch or atleast for the dinner but Minho got busy in his studio for the recording of his new song.

On Y/N's birthday also Minho was on tour. He was so busy for his concert that he forgot to wish her on her special day. At night when Y/N called him he was unable to talk to her.

This happened continuously. Everytime Minho will promise to come but everytime he'll break his promise.

After 4 years in high school finally Y/N graduated. She again called Minho to attend her graduation.

"Please Oppa, this time don't disappoint me. I'll wait for you. Your presence means alot to me, Oppa. I just wanted you to be there by my side on my big day."

"I'll try my best to be there little sister."

But history repeated itself again. Minho got busy in his MV shooting and was unable to attend Y/N's graduation ceremony.

This time Y/N had enough. She was so heartbroken. She was so hurt and annoyed. She called Minho but her call was forwarded to voicemail. She left the message:

"I am so sorry to bother you always. I know you are super busy so from now on I'll not disturb you anymore.

You made your choices. I am happy that you got chance to chase ypur dreams.

Hope its worthing to loose your sister.
Bye Oppa and take care of yourself!"

When Minho got this message he tried to persuade Y/N but she didn't responded to any of his texts and calls. She totally ignored him.

*End of flashback*

Y/N reached to the cafe. She wiped her tears and went inside. She went to the common room..changed her dress and came to the counter.

5 years has been passed since then. She never talked to Minho in these years. She misses him alot but she knew the fact that her brother is an Idol so its hard for him to be with her. She hate everything that is related to her brother. She hates KPOP and Idols.
