ten year old jiwoo trailed behind her older brother and twin as they leisurely walked through the park on the sunny friday afternoon. byungwoo had just picked up the twins from school and decided to treat them for making it through another tough week."jiwoo, don't run into anyone!" byungwoo jokingly called back as he noticed her falling behind. she looks up to him and begins to jog to get back near her siblings.
when she finally reached them, the trio stops and looks at the community announcement board as they head to the swing sets.
deasung's eyes light up and he tugs on his older brothers sweater. he points to an ad for a music company holding auditions soon. they looked at each other and then glance at their sister who is studying a flyer about a bakery, humming a soft melody.
"jiwoo," byungwoo called, gaining her attention. she turned towards her brothers and hummed in response, "how is your dancing going at the studio?"
why?
"there going well hyung, why do you ask?" she spoke quietly, brows furrowed
dae-sung pulled a flyer down and handed it to his twin. he watched as she scanned the paper, face morphing into confusion.
"you want me to audition? why?" she asked, eyes glancing from her older to her younger brother
"you're a hell of a dancer!"
"swear jar when we go home."

as the three siblings make their way in to the trailer park, a neighborhood dog comes up. jiwoo squats down to pet it and byungwoo scolds her, while daesung takes off his uniform blazer to cover her.
they make their trek down main road until they reach the split off, continuing to the left and making twists and turns it took them ages to remember. when they finally got to theirs, the twins immediately got on their homework, not wanting to have it looming over their head all weekend.
when eunjae was told she wasn't as happy as the trio had hoped. she was on-board with their father, wanting jiwoo to become an doctor or engineer. she had the smarts for it, so why waste it on singing and dancing in silly costumes.
"eunjae i don't care what you think. jiwoo is going to the auditions!" byungwoo exclaimed. he and deasung had always been on their mothers side, wanted jiwoo to do what made her happy: dancing.
"byungwoo, don't forget who you're talking to." eunjae snapped
"oh i'm sorry noona," sarcasm evident, "but my little sister is going to that audition! and if you don't give us permission then i'll go ask mama!" byungwoo yelled
"moon byungwoo don't you dare bother our mother for something as silly as this!" eunjae snarled
"why are you so against this? you always tell us to go after what we want but whenever jiwoo is involved you shut her down instantly!"
"i don't need to explain myself to you. go and get the twins to wash up for dinner."
with that, the conversation was over.
byungwoo walked out of the small kitchen and down the hall to his shared bedroom. the pair were laying on the bottom bunk, foot to head.
"scoot over rugrats." he says, but neither of them move, so he lays on top of them. "eunjae was persistent but she holds no authority over major decisions so im going to talk to mom about it later." he explains
