"I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you"

Rossi POV

I left the hotel a little early to go and talk to Hotch. Of course, he insisted on it once her found out that I was still with Alex. I believe his exact words when I said that I would pass along the message was, "Oh shit, I didn't think you were gonna sleep with her." I knew it was gonna happen sooner or later, I was just hoping it was gonna be later.

"You guys spent the night together, huh? Anything happen that's worth telling?"

"How did I know that you were gonna ask that?" I said rolling my eyes, "And no, all we did was eat some food and watch a movie."

"So you're telling me you spent all night together and not a single thing happened? I cal b.s."

"Hey, believe what you want, but I went over to check on her, which by the way was your idea. I don't really think now's the time to be making a move."

"You know she does talk about you. JJ mentioned something about it at the hospital. Something about her feeling close to you. Who do you think I told you to go and see her in the first place? I'm fairly certain that she may have feelings for you too. I am a profiler after all."

It fell silent and thank god it did because no sooner Alex walked onto the plane.

Alex POV

When I got on the plane, Hotch and Rossi were already there. As I was walking to a seat, Hotch looked up and gave me a smile that meant he knew something. I sat down and none of us said anything for what felt like forever before Derek finally boarded,

"Wow, looks like I missed all the fun," he said jokingly.

Once he was seated, Hotch video called Garcia so she could fill us in on the case.

"All right pretties, you were called to help in a case over in Philly as you know. I'm the last two months, six couples have gone missing. The ages range from their late thirties to fifties, all Caucasian. No bodies have been found and so far there isn't enough evidence to link anyone to the disappearances. All suspects that they've had have alibis for the times each of the disappearances."

"Local PD is hoping that we'll be able to shed some light on what is going on. Since we're down two, Blake I want you to go down to the station and see what they've got. Morgan and Rossi, you're gonna go to the old crime scenes to see if you can find anything new, and I'll go talk to the latest victims' family."

• Two days later •

JJ and Reid flew in earlier today and we still don't have much. There hasn't been any ransom calls and we still don't have any of the bodies. The only thing we know for sure is that these are done professionally. Even though they're taken from their homes, there isn't enough evidence that gives us an actual lead.

We've all been sitting in the station going through every last detail of their lives.

"What if we sent some of your agents undercover?" The sheriff pitched in, "It might be the only way to get some actual insight. You guys are the most qualified for that."

"That's not a half bad idea Hotch," Reid said sitting down.

"We don't know how dangerous this guy is or what he's doing to these couples. With how sophisticated these are who knows how many people are involved in this. I'm not just gonna send two of my agents in blind."

We all sat there trying to think of what to do. As much as we knew it was a good idea, we also knew the risks.

"I'll do it. I know the case and I've been doing this long enough to know when to back off."

Hotch looked up at Rossi as he said it. He had the kind of look on his face that meant nothing was gonna change his mind.

"Hotch if it goes wrong I'll take the blame, but we need to do something before we loose more people."

"I know you're right, I just don't like it," he took a long pause and then looked over at me, "You and Alex go call Garcia so that you can start building your cover. We want this to be as accurate as possible."

As soon as Hotch said my name, JJ turned around trying not to laugh and I probably looked like I'd seen a ghost.

"Fear comes from not knowing what to expect and not feeling you have any control over what's about to happen"
