My family and I just moved here, to the Highland. It's a neighborhood for rich people, I guess. The moving truck has just arrived and the moving guys jump out to unload our stuff, and they organize it in order of person.
I find my section and I begin to carry things up the marble stairs. They're cold, I think to myself. That's good. I like the cold.
After I bring everything up, I grab my MacBook and start looking up room inspo. I find this one picture that is perfect and I save it.
In the room the walls are a beautiful shade of lilac with polaroid photos of friends and views clipped onto fairy lights. The bed is a shade of light greyish-white and the sheets are white as snow and fluffy as snow, too.
I run downstairs and I find my parents drinking coffee together in the kitchen, and I show them the picture. After a short discussion, they let me do it, but I had to buy the paint myself.
I committed myself to chores and car washes until finally I had enough money to buy the paint I had oh so desperately wanted.
My parents and Jonathan helped me paint my room and set up my cabinets and bed. I put fairy lights up and put my polaroid pictures of me with my friends on the little clips that came with the lights.
After a lot of decorating, I was finally satisfied with my room. I had decided to also buy a fluffy white rug and fluffy white slippers.
When my parents announced that I would be going to school nearby, in a place called Appleseed Academy, I was excited yet nervous at the same time.
We went shopping to buy a food and our new uniforms, and I admired the beautiful dark gray blazer with a white crisp shirt, black short skirt, and knee-high boots with a little heel. It was gorgeous and stylish at the same time.
My mom asked me if I wanted to go to the nail salon, as they were having a sale, and I agreed. I chose a beautiful crystal-embellished nail look and clapped my hands in satisfaction.
We went to the hair salon, my mom and I, to get a conditioning treatment and to my surprise, my mom let me bleach my tips. I always wanted to get the half light caramel brown to blonde look, and I think it looks amazing.
After all this, we went to a restaurant, paid, and decided that this was enough shopping for a day.
When we got home, I helped clean the house and started to get ready for my first day of school tomorrow.
