A minute later, the police arrive. They put handcuffs on the still-unconscious men and they nod at Jimin. A paramedic was treating Jimin. He had blood coming from his lip and his nose. She had told me earlier to wait somewhere else.

A police officer had come over telling me that Jimin was treated and that he kept asking to see me so I ran to him, I ran like the house was on fire.

He sees me and he starts to cry with me. I sit on him, careful not to hurt him any more.
"They've already informed your parents." Jimin starts. "They're coming back as soon as possible." He winces and I choke on my tears.

He looks at me and kisses me.
"I love you so much Skye..." He's crying so hard too that it breaks my heart.
"I- I love you too, Jimin!" I wrap my arms around his neck and we cry for hours like this, even long after the police have left.

My parents called me. I had to get up to answer but I never let go of Jimin's hand.
"Are you ok? How did you stop them?" Is all I could hear from my mother.
"Yes mom, I'm ok. And I didn't stop them, Jimin did. But I'm not sure if he's ok..." I say, tears spilling out. I then realized that nobody from my family had ever met Jimin.

"Let me talk to him." I passed my phone to Jimin and I hear him talking to my mom, and I hear her crying. A minute later, Jimin smiles.
"It was my pleasure, Mrs. Rosario. I promise I will protect her no matter what." My mom hangs up, and Jimin passes me my phone, our fingers still intertwined.

I grab my things and we get to Jimin's car. He looks unable to drive, with his split knuckles and dizziness. He heads to the driver's side and I stop him.
"No. I'm driving. I don't care if I don't have a license." He tries to argue but he sees that there's no way I would let him drive.

We arrive to his house, and I help him in. He still opens the door for me, I realize. I help him to his room and I go back downstairs. I make him a simple pasta and bring it to him with a little bit of vodka in orange juice.

When he drinks the juice, he stops and looks at me.
"This is a perfect mix! How did you do that?" He eagerly drinks the rest.
"I may have had some experience." I say, winking at him.
