"Hold him down! Catch that running boy, someone help!"

Wei Ying paid no attention to the angry voice behind him as he sprinted away focusing on the direction and obstacles in front of him, trying to escape from one alley to another. Even if Wei Ying stopped to tell him the truth; he would not believe him. No one did.

Wei Ying didn't realise there was more than the owner of the house who was chasing him, and only did he realise that when he tried to quickly glance behind and made a mistake to trip on a fallen basket in the alley, making him meet face to face with the hard ground.

He groaned in pain as he tried to take in his surrounding after the fall, trying to steady himself into what seemed like a sitting position.

"How dare you! Haven't I already warned you to not trespass into people's property?! I have my wife at home, who gave you permission to enter the house?" the said owner turned red in the face from his anger.

"But I-" Wei Ying tried to explain only to be cut off by a bystander

"He never learns, does he?"

"He only brings shame to the Yun Meng Jiang Sect."

"Oh, our sect leader Fengmian must be going through so much trouble raising a child like this; not even his own flesh!"

Wei Ying internally cursed in his mind because there he was again; he has already memorised such comments. It's the same thing repeatedly, they never stop. He tried standing up by shifting his weight onto his right hand, but only to curse unconsciously and fall back into his place.

He must've sprained his wrist.

"Stay where you are young lad, I will send someone to bring your uncle so I can discuss with him this unforgivable act of yours!" the owner of the household turned around and called upon a group of young boys.

Wei Ying did not want things to accelerate to his uncle, but the situation has gotten out of his hands.

"Are you okay? You dropped this."

And after a short  pause from the crowd's judgemental comments, a peaceful breeze of wind finds its way towards Wei Ying, blowing cold air to his face sending a shiver down his spine. That is, up until it was disturbed with the shadow of a figure blocking both the wind and the sun rays.

When Wei Ying slowly drifted his focus from the slim waist of the figure in front of him, all the way up to his face, he could only part his lips in surprise as he dazed the person's face. Guessing from the outfit and the headband around his forehead, he must be from the Gusu Lan Sect. But what was the Gusu Lan sect doing here? Before Wei Ying had the time to answer the question, the said boy placed the red hair ribbon of his into his palm and turned around and left. Leaving behind the sun's warm ray to hit Wei Ying's face once again. His hair ribbon must have loosened whilst running and flew away when he tripped.

The retreating figure of the said boy was a scene Wei Ying could never forget .

In a household full of family love, Wei Ying never found a place to fit in. He was forever grateful for the family, but he truly believed that he never belonged there.

"A-Xian"

Wei Ying spun around to the direction of his nickname being called, not surprised to find his older sis; Jiang Yanli was standing across the garden.

"I'm coming!" he declared before he jogged towards her.

"What were you doing?" She questioned him.

"Oh, I was messing around with the ants..." he embarrassedly admitted, scrunching his nose in the process.

"No, I meant at uncle Chun-Ying's household."
