a cold sweat was among jungkook's body, a blanket curled around him as the cold bumps on his skin didn't fade. his eyes were closed in a tired manner, yet the uncomfortableness of his body didn't let him sleep anymore.

since the two shared a room, taehyung had always woken and watched the younger sleep, yet this morning taehyung had noticed the younger seem awfully compact in a tight balled shape, his hair covering his eyes messily.

taehyung had enough of watching the younger's ill-like state, and got up from his bed. walking over to jungkook, he kneeled in front of him, using a hand to brush the younger's bangs from his face and gently rose the back of his hand to jungkook's forehead.

the odd heat startled taehyung as he took his hand away, afterward noticing jungkook's eyes cracked open. taehyung gave a small hum in notice, leveling his face with jungkook's.

"good morning, jungkookie. how do you feel?" taehyung asked with gentleness in his voice, wanting to show care to the obviously sickly younger.

jungkook groaned slightly in response, shutting his eyes once more. a frown fell among taehyung's face as he wanted a more helpful response, so he pushed further.

"kookie, please tell me. i can tell you aren't feeling well." taehyung pled, a small pout formed upon his lips. jungkook's eyes peered open once more, a small breath leaving his mouth.

"tired," jungkook responded, groaning once more. taehyung's playful pout left his lips as he felt the situation was more serious, and listened in more.

"but i'm so uncomfortable." jungkook added, moving around a bit with a painful expression. taehyung placed a hand on jungkook, making him stop moving.

"just relax your body. i'll be back in a bit." taehyung said, a pout among jungkook's lips as taehyung stood up and exited the room hesitantly yet rushingly

"yoongi! where is the thermometer? i checked the bathroom but it isn't there!" taehyung said quickly, yoongi holding a confused expression at the younger's words.

"calm down. i used it for jimin a few days ago. let me go get it." yoongi replied, the annoyance present within his voice. taehyung sighed slightly but nodded, following yoongi to his singular room.

once yoongi retrieved the thermometer after washing it, taehyung quickly grabbed it and rushed off, yoongi rolling his eyes at the younger.

taehyung rushed back to his and jungkook's dorm room, seeing the younger slightly panting and whining while tangled up in his blanket. taehyung set the thermometer on his bed and helped get the blanket straightened out, yet jungkook continued to whine.

"i-i feel so hot and cold at the same time.." jungkook muttered, his face pale as he laid still. taehyung felt bad for the younger's state, quickly grabbing the thermometer once more and crouching back in front of the younger.

"i know you're uncomfortable, kookie. i'm trying to help. now, could open your mouth for me?" taehyung asked gently, jungkook drowsily parting his lips. taehyung slid the thermometer to where he hoped was under the younger's tongue.

after a moment of waiting, he took the thermometer out, the device reading '104.2°F'. taehyung gasped at the number, a frown upon his lips.

a few sharp knocks came from the door, jimin and jin in view. taehyung turned around to face the older males, noticing looks of worry present among their faces.
