"An interesting topic, yes finally." Jennie set down the clipboard and faced my confused one.

"Okay, so surely you must be surprised that you're guardian angel all along was your cat. But I am not the only one. Constantly angels and demons go undercover as humans to test them." I nodded in response to her words and strangely felt as if I should be writing down notes.

"I know most of the celestial beings that have been in your life because I'm in charge of you. But not your choices." She looked at me sadly as she reminded me of the life I wasn't proud of.

"Some of them have become my bestest friends, though." A smile formed within her perfect teeth just at the thought of the people she's grown close with.

"I'll introduce them and they'll all come in one by one to teach you something I cannot." Finally, I found something to ask.

"When and who?"

Jennie laughed at my brief words. "This week, will be..."

"Wait how many friends are you bringing in?"

"Don't worry just about 3." If each person was going to train for a a time span of a week, then that'll be a whole month. Doing math in my head suddenly made my eyebrows furrow in distress. How bad was the test going to be if I had to go through a months worth of 12 hour training?

"Stop thinking so hard, you're making me worry for you." Jennie groaned. My eyes widen in shock. Could she hear my thoughts?

"Yeah, I can. I also know about that weird narration thing you do in your head." She looked like she wanted to rip out her own eardrums, but I hope she can ignore my inner monologues from now on.

She nodded, per my request and resumed our lesson.

"Okay, as I was saying, this week you'll meet my friend Rosie and she'll help me teach you communication and understanding in languages of the Earth." She read the last part from the clipboard. I fidgeted in my skirt, not really knowing what that meant.

"Basically she's going to show you how to be 'one with the Earth'- at least that's what she says." Jennie did her best to explain. "Rosie is an angel, like me, but she works in a different department. Communication, if you couldn't tell."

"What department do you work in then?"

"Ah, me? I work in the Guardian department obviously." She said as if it were the obvious thing in the world. Like I knew how this world worked.

"Well, you'll learn." She gave up. Then checking the time of the gliterry diamond encrusted watch attatched to her wrist.

"She should be here in-" There was a knock at the door. "Now, I suppose."

I watched as my angel walked over to the ever so mysterious door, pulling it open to reveal the prettiest woman I've ever seen aside from Jennie. What the hell did they feed these celestial beings?

She had pretty blonde hair and was wearing a white flower printed dress that hugged her lower body but the sleeves were flowy and puffy. Her lips were painted peach and she had gigantic wings on her back.

"Y/n! It's so nice to see you after all these years!" She came up to hug me, her heavy wings getting in my face. It was the same feeling when a relative you've never met tells you they've changed your diapers when you were a baby.

Confusing and embarrassing.

"Hey, Rosie. You're- wings." Jennie warned her.

"Oh? Silly me." she giggled and all of a sudden her wings disappeared in a snap. I watched in wonder as they left her back.

"Also, introduce yourself properly. She won't know who you are." Jennie instructed.

"Oh! Of course, I'm sorry." She turned towards me and held both of my hands. "I'm Roseanne, an angel from the Communications department. But you'd know me as-"

She shapeshifted in front of my eyes and turned into someone I thought I'd never see again.

"Lilith?" My eye's teared up as I brang my childhood friend close into a hug. Her familiar black curly hair fell only to her shoulders and her dark skin seemed to shine. Her hold was familiar and warm.

Once I pulled away, I looked straight into her dark brown eyes and took in the freckles on her round cheeks. I've never been so happy to see anyone else in my life.

Until she shape-shifted back into Roseanne.

Nothing was wrong with Roseanne but I couldn't help but let my face fall.

"Yeah, Lilith was one of the angels in your life."

"And she was one of the angels I ignored.." My voice grew less due to shame.

"Yes...but it's alright. I'm just happy you weren't going straight to h-" The bright angel's accent was muffled by to Jennie's hand. The guardian angel shot her another warning look before slowly lowering her limb.

"Anyway's, now that you've caught up with each other, let's learn communication! Shall we?" Jennie motioned for Roseanne to start as she sat down in her swivel chair.

"Oh right! I'm teaching! Never done this before, so plesse forgive me." Even though I was her only student, she looked nervous.

"Communication in this realm is like english. You remember english class right?" She brought up the class we both had in high school. It was the only class we were ever successful in.

"And linguistics! Like French too!" She brought up our least successful class. The only thing I could do in french was introduce myself. And say thank you, but that was mainly it.

"I think I can pull off being your teacher since I know what type of student you are!" Rosie exclaimed happily.

And it was, in this world I was able to absorb more knowledge as possible. The languages I was able to learn in only 12 hours was absolutely insane. Though Rosie left a lot of learning material for the rest of the week, saying there were more languages than the ones humans used to communicate. For every element and animal, they spoke their own. It made the week sound longer than intended.

But hey, at least it wasn't math.
