I shot up in my bed for the third night in a row.
Beads of sweat dripped down my face and my chest rose and fell rapidly as I tried to calm myself down.
"It was just a dream," I told myself. "Calm down, it was just a dream."
"You wish," I turned to see a figure standing in the shadows next to my bed.
I began screamed as loud as my voice would let me.
"Jerin!"
I felt a pair of hands shaking me by my arms and I panicked trying be free of their grasp.
"Let me go!" I shouted, swinging my arms randomly, hoping to make contact.
"Jerin, stop! It's me!"
I opened my eyes and saw Dana worriedly staring at me.
"Oh my God," I wrapped my arms around his neck, still breathing heavily. "This isn't another dream is it?"
"No," he hugged me back and I could feel him shaking his head. "What were you dreaming about?"
"I don't know, someone was in my room, trying to get me," I half lied to him.
I knew who was in my room: Michael.
Ever since Dana told me about him, I had been having nightmares about them.
"You won't let anyone hurt me, right?" I asked him.
"Of course not," his arms tightened around me.
I relaxed a bit at his words and I finally let go.
"Princess, did you have a bad dream last night, too?" he curiously stared at my face.
"Why?" I attempted to avoid the question.
"Because last night you were tossing and turning a lot more than you usually did, but I didn't think it was because you were dreaming," he told me.
"Oh, well it must be just stress," I still avoided answering.
He just nodded.
I looked at Dana's alarm clock next to his bed and saw that it was three in the morning.
"Do you want to try and go back to sleep?" Dana asked me.
I nodded.
"I'll wake you if I think you might be dreaming, okay?"
I nodded again.
We both lied back down and I rested my head on his chest as he held me with both of his arms.
I breathed in, trying to relax and fall asleep.
I woke up the next morning and Dana was still asleep underneath me.
I kissed his chest and moved up to kiss his neck and then his jaw.
"Mm," he hummed with a small smile on his face while his eyes remained closed.
I climbed on top of him and kissed his cheek.
Dana opened his eyes and looked up at me, "Good morning, Princess."
"Good morning," I smiled.
"Did you sleep okay last night?" he asked.
"Mhm," I nodded. "Did you?"
"Mhm," he repeated me.
I noticed his nose wrinkle and his eyebrows furrow before I noticed something else, making my eyes wide.
