Chapter 2 - { Reticent }
Our world seemed separate from the rest of the universe. It had it's own strange laws and customs, bizarre traditions that seem silly to me now.
It was a dizzying experience of vertigo, as uncontrollable laughter spilled out of us, a sense of nausea was pushed away.
Splashes of blurred colors, bright and vibrant. Living and warm, like a summer's day. Passionate, and we thought those days we would never end.
Similar to an endless ferris wheel ride, spinning over and over. The golden rays of sun are replaced by the quiet silver moonbeams.
As they aged, we replaced them, and as we got older, new batches replaced us.
They had never given a thought to what happens to those once beautiful Madonnas, now lying forgotten and broken.
So we thought, wouldn't it be lovely if we were never replaced?

I'm.... definitely not on Earth anymore. Even though it was night time, it was as bright and lively as day. Modern women and men with hair as neon on the bright signs walk past me. Their clothes were like individual pieces of art hung in an art gallery.
I take out the map that came with the acceptance letter. Some people looked at me strangely, their eyes resting on me for a moment before they walk away. Oh yeah! Paper isn't very common here. Everyone uses technology. Most of the technology are clear thin sheets with glowing symbols and pictures, and you can even control some of it with your mind.
So apparently the Flora II House is in the countryside. It's a protected area off the edges of the city. I have to take a .... tube? What and where is that? Everyone looks so intimidating, so I'm having trouble asking for help, but I can't just wander here aimlessly! I have to go there otherwise I'll have to sleep out on the streets! If I sleep on the streets then bad people can come and mess with me! If they mess with me, my dreams of being a Frozen will go out the window!
Okay, I'll ask the next person that walks past me. Without even looking, I step in front of that person. I look up and thought I that I would melt. The man is so...pretty is the only word I can come up with right now. My brain feels kind of dead. He has wavy sea green hair, that for some reason reminded me of a mermaid.
On his left ear he has an earring that had a light blue teardrop gem. Even though the piece of jewelry was a bit feminine, it looked attractive on him.
"Uh excuse me, but could you tell me how to get through the Flora House II?" I asked. "I'm actually going there too. I'll show you the way," he walked with me to this row of clear cylinders. He opened the door to the clear cylinder. "Step in, I'll do it for you, don't worry." How kind, I was lucky to have met someone so helpful.
A cold wind surrounded me, and then it felt like the wind actually passed through my body. When a bright flash appeared, I closed my eyes. When the bright orange went away from my eyelids I opened them to find myself in a totally different place.
I stepped out, and seconds later, the tube next to mine flashed. Out stepped the handsome guy from before. "Welcome to Flora House II," He waved to the large stone castle in the middle of rolling green hills. It was hands down, the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
Sprawling gardens, gurgling fountains, lanterns and lampposts were everywhere. "It's a gorgeous place isn't it?" He asked, standing beside me as I stared in awe.
"Yeah, it really is. There's more. I'm sure you'll love your dorm room." He said.
"Excuse me, but do you know where I go now?" I asked. "Follow me, I'll bring you to the office, they'll get you settled in." We walked down to the office, which had a orange and yellow kind of theme. Potted plants lined the windows, and two women sat in front of large clear screens.
