Riley" I shouted through our apartment.
"Yeah" I heard her yell back.
"Are you dressing up?" I asked.
"Well, I want to look good for James" she replied poking her head through the door. I laughed. I had just finished putting on my new, simple, white lace dress that went around mid thigh with a long black cardigan and black heels. My hair was curled and my make-up was eyeliner, concealer and mascara. I walked out of my room to find Riley sitting on the stools in the kitchen, playing on her phone. She got up once she realised I was in the room. We both headed for the door, grabbing our keys as we went. We locked the door and down the stairs. Once we were outside I realised I was not dressed for the weather, it was starting to get colder as winter had begun.
We arrived at the restaurant a few minutes early so we decided to sit on a bench along the street.
"Ab are you nervous?" Riley asked me.
"Very" my voice shaking.
"Don't be, he's the same boy, the boy you were in love with, the same boy who was in love with you." She spoke.
"I know I just don't know whether I can forgive him or not" I replied.
"I think the song is enough of an apology, don't you think?" She asked.
I hummed in response, caught up in my own thoughts. I glanced over to my right to see the boys arriving. My stomach fluttered with nerves as I saw Brad get out of the car. He was wearing a loose shirt with black jeans and a bandana. Riley quickly saw they had arrived as we both rose from the bench and began walking over to the restaurant. The boys saw we were coming and waved.
We walked up to them, standing outside the restaurant, Brad began to speak.
"Ab, Riley, this is James, Connor and Tristan." Brad looking at each one of them as he spoke. I hugged all three of them coming to Brad last. I hugged him like the rest but as we did he whispered something in my ear. "You look beautiful" I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks as I went and stood next to Riley.
"So this is the famous Abbie?" Tristan asked.
I looked over at Brad who was blushing heavily.
"Don't worry he hasn't told us any of your secrets" James said. I laughed.
"There's not much to tell" I replied.
"Oh, trust me there is, we've heard a lot" Connor spoke. I looked over at Brad who was blushing even more.
"Can we just go in please?" Brad asked, obviously annoyed with the other three. This is going to be a long night.
