After we finished eating, I helped NiKo clean the dishes, my mind wandering. NiKo was using his phone. I still don't have mine. I should ask NiKo where my phone is.

"Hey, NiKo?" He hummed distractedly as he scrubbed a plate.

"Do you have my phone?" I asked gently. The plate in NiKo's hand slipped and hit the sink with a loud clang. I gasped in surprise and dropped the sponge in my hand. I gazed worriedly at NiKo's shaking hands. Was he okay?

"You should go to your room." He said softly, his voice dark and unsteady. He hurriedly dried his hands on the towel next to him and stormed out of the kitchen. I heard his door slam shut as I stood shocked in the kitchen, my hands still dripping with water, confusion radiating from me in waves. What was wrong with NiKo? All I did was ask about my phone. Why was he so upset? I dried my hands and walked into the living room. He said I should go to my room.

I didn't really want to, but what else was I going to do? I hesitantly started walking to my room when I something in my peripheral vision caught my eye. I paused and turned to look at what had distracted me. Sitting on the coffee room table was NiKo's phone. I walked over to the table and grabbed his phone. If he wouldn't talk to me about my phone then I hope he doesn't mind me using his. I needed to call my family or at least a friend.

I clicked the screen on and sighed in irritation. Locked. I typed in his name but the phone rejected it. I hummed in thought. What could be his password? I didn't know much about him other than his name and...strawberries! He liked strawberries and his mother used to give the fruit to him. Maybe it was strawberries? I uncertainly typed in strawberries. Wrong again?! What could it be? Out of a bout of frustration and pure hopeless humor, I typed in my own name, only for the screen to unlock. I stood there for a spell, shocked confusion rolling through my body.

It worked?! Why would it work? I don't understand-How could the password on his phone be my name! Fear slowly leaked into my heart. Something was definitely wrong here. His behavior is way to strange. I should leave. I was ready to throw the phone down-in fear that he could somehow track me with it-but I froze. The words on the screen looked familiar. With barely concealed panic, I gazed back down at NiKo's phone, my eyes widening as they read the sentences.

You really thought you could leave me?

Did you think you could ignore me?

You can't ignore me forever... (Y/n).

I gasped and dropped the phone, turning quickly around to run for the door but instead bumped into something. Or someone. I fell backwards and landed heavily on my rear end. I looked up with teary eyes full of terror at the man before me.

"Y̷̧̧̛̯̲̟̭͙̩̜͐̀̾̔̓̉̐̀̕ơ̸̛̤̓̀͌͋̂̅̚u̵͎̯͍̭̙̒͐̔̾̿͒̍͠ ̵̬̎̾̔̉̏͑̓͠s̸͈͇͓͈̫͖̲̀̈̈͂̋͊́h̷̢̢̯̱͙̪͔̰̙͆̈̏o̴̜͕̓̾͒͌́ų̴̩̗͓̜̈́̏̽̽̕͠͝ͅļ̸̛̱̓̑̓͌́̿̂̕d̶̗̪̠͈̯̥͊̾̑̈̓̿͘͝'̷̙̝̣̘̗̞̍͜v̵͇̘͖͕̈́̎͐͠e̴̡̯͉̘͑̋̃̀̕ ̴̨̹̹͕͙̮̌̔͐̎̉͗̈̃͐l̶̢̡̡̼̣̩͕̲͌̂̆͛ḯ̴̧̢̛̞̬̦̜͙̻͌̆̌̐͐͜͠ṣ̶̼̣͒̀̾͐͑̕̕t̷̗̪̭͉͇̻͙̙̗̐̈́̀̽̍͘ͅē̶̳͈̟̯͂̅̍̊͘n̴̰̬̈́̆͐͆̈̇̂̓̕e̵͕͓̫͕̒̃̍̈d̷͇̜̿̎͂̆̄̓͠ ̴̨̛̮͖̣͆͋t̵̳̂̇̊̊̿̐̾̈́ǫ̸̧̳̼̞̳̯̩͎͎̀̆́͑̓̉ ̸̨̢̹̹̻̟̞̟͇͆͘͠m̶̼̫͚̫̐͛̄̄͑͝é̴̡̡̡̘͉͉̱͈͇̗ ̵̯̺͈̜͕̙̹̖͕̈͌̾̄̈́͘̕͝͝(̸̧̬̝͕̪͍̖̣̪̐̕Ý̵̨̗̌͆̉/̷͔̤̬̤͂̈̕n̴̢̢͚̠̲͎̹̣̬̔)̴̢̢͕͖̳̰̙̖̓̇"

His voice scared me but his face scared me even more. His eyes were full of anger and his mouth was pulled back aggressively into a nasty snarl. The kind man who had supposedly "helped" me was no longer here. Above me stood a savage beast fueled by pure rage.

"NiKo, please!" I gasped. "I was just using your phone to call my family!"

"You aren't calling anyone." He growled dangerously. He advanced towards me with surprising speed and ferocity. I yelped in surprise and scrambled away from him on my elbows. It was no use though as he grabbed my forearm and lifted me to my feet. I cried out in pain as his grip tightened around my arm. He dragged me to the room I woke up in and threw me onto my bed. I clambered off the furniture awkwardly and caught the door right as he was closing it, painfully thrusting my hands into the doorjamb. NiKo growled in annoyance.

"Please." I whimpered. "I just want to go home." NiKo's expression softened for a split second.

"I know." he whispered gently before pushing my hands out of the way and slamming the door shut. This time I heard the click of the door as he locked it and my fear crumbled into despair. I was locked in here. What did I do wrong? Why was this happening to me? I curled up against the door and hugged my knees as I quietly sobbed into my arms.

What did I do to deserve this?
