Awkward.

Shit, even that word was an understatement itself.

I sat doubled over in my seat as I breathed heavily from the adrenaline that was pumping from within. I had just got done with an 8 count dance routine we had been doing over and over. Rehearsals were just beginning and I was preparing to do my first award show performance. It was the closest thing to going on tour and that was soon as well. However I couldn't get my mind off of the other night. Of-course I remembered EVERY detail. Not to mention I had Tommie here with me and we just stared at each other, not a word being said.

I knew we had to talk about it eventually, but I wanted to take my time. I don't know if she'll be mad or whatever but all I know is we all were fucked up that night. It was none of our faults but we had to own it for sure.

I cleared my throat getting her to blink but still no words came out. Sitting up and leaning back in my seat I kept my eyes on her intensely, trying to challenge myself into reading her as best as I can. I usually could but right now her eyes were telling me.. nothing. It was at the point I conjured something in my mind to say finally but her phone disrupted our stare off and my thoughts. She immediately tended to it, answering it on cue. I just sighed as I finally looked away, wiping the sweat from my face.

"Hello?" she answered. Her facial expression soon went from neutral to a mix of panic and worry. I furrowed my brows together as I stared at her confused.

"Ayo Breezy we going again?" My backup dancer asked grabbing my attention. I put both hands up indicating I needed 10 more minutes. He nodded his head prior to clapping his hands together and walking off announcing to the others that there was 10 more minutes left. I turned to Tommie seeing her nod her head as whoever on the phone spoke. She looked anxious but most of all sad.

"Okay, okay. I'm on my way." She rushed on the phone before hanging up.

"What's wrong?" I asked worriedly.

"It's nothing baby. Finish work." She said forcing a smile as she got up gathering her belongings.

I got up as well walking closer to her. Ducking my head down to her level, I began to talk where only she could hear me.

"Tell me now Tommie.. don't start that hiding shit again." I told her seriously. She stared up at me – her eyes scanning mine for a second. She then sighed as she broke our eye contact.
