After a few days of resting Elaine could walk normally again. It felt a bit soar but not bad. Zeldris still carried her everywhere he could. Elaine wore her white dress and put some bandages around her neck so no one would see her hickeys.
But she tried to stay in his room as much as she could. Zeldris would run out for missions a few times but they wouldn't take long.

"Ah-choo!" She looked over at her lover who had just sneezed. "Bless you" Elaine told him as he thanked her. But during the day Zeldris continued to sneeze, cough, and sniffle. He almost collapsed a few times, which made Elaine worried. She stepped out of bed switching spots with him.

The young maiden placed her soft hand on his forehead. It was burning. Zeldris had caught a fever. Which only scared Elaine. She walked into the bathroom and grabbed some medicine, a bowl of hot water, and a wash rag. After placing the equipment on a table, Elaine dipped the rag into water and placed it on his forehead. Zeldris was either too hot or too cold.

She and her brother have gotten sick every now and than, so they took care of each other. But Zeldris was a demon and she didn't know how his body would react to the medicine. He coughed a few times while taking Elaine's hand.

"I'm....not gonna...make it" Zeldris told her in a quiet voice, obviously joking. She just hit him with a pillow while pouting. "Don't talk like that jerk..." he chuckled softly with a smile. "Heh, I'm just kidding, don't worry I'm around for the long haul!" Zeldris told Elaine as he placed a soft kiss to her hand. She blushed with a small pout expression.

"I hope you are! I'm not going to the necropolis or purgatory to bring you back!" Zeldris smiled "you'd bring me back no matter what!"
"PFF- as if!"
"Who's gonna satisfy you~?"
Elaine's face grew a deep scarlet looking away. Her expression made Zeldris smirk as he waited for a response. "Yeah I didn't expect you to think of anyone but me~! So do me a favor, if I die bring me back~"
Elaine nodded as he sat up and pressed a soft kiss to her cheek. But Elaine knew better than to get close to a sick demon. So she pulled away crossing her arms. Zeldris felt a bit hurt. "Why'd you move?"
She frowned "you're sick! I don't want to be ill!"
"Heh i guess you're right.."
he replied a bit sad that he couldn't touch her because of the sickness. But it'd be fine. Fevers and colds usually passed quickly for him and Zeldris wouldn't want to get his darling maiden sick.

Elaine sighed a bit looking at him. "I'll wear that dumb outfit after you take a nap..." she said referring to the bell and cream white outfit he bought her. Zeldris smirked laying down "alright~!"
His reaction made her blush "Pervert..." she told him while blushing heavily. Zeldris chuckled a bit "hey you offered!" He than fell asleep pulling the blanket over him.

Elaine watched over him as he slept. She read a few books as minutes turned to hours. Night rolled around as it started raining. No thunder or lightning just pure rain. She got up and walked out to the balcony, it was peaceful. The rain hitting the stone castle made small snapping sounds. The few animals that were out tried to stay as dry as possible.

She could feel the water on her soft skin and run through her hair. Elaine loved her life with Zeldris. It was calm and romantic. Although she loved his calm side she as well as his protective side.
Her clothes sunk closer to the floor of the balcony in a soaked mess. She felt a bit heavier while walking back instead to see her Zeldris was still asleep. Elaine smiled softly pressing a kiss to his cheek. He was adorable. She than looked through her part of the wardrobe in his room. Her bell outfit was next to the revealing dress. She moved the opposite one aside, accidentally making the bell chime. Elaine looked back at her lover to make sure she didn't wake him and he was still sleeping.

She sighed a breath of relief grabbing the dress only to feel someone's arms wrap around her waist. The small fairy squeaked being caught off guard. She turned her head slightly and saw Zeldris, "hehe~" he smirked only to make Elaine blush. "Well, was that a bird chirp or a bell~?"
"S-Sorry! I was just grabbing the other dress! I didn't mean to wake you!"
Her reply was adorable to him. "I'm awake now and feel better so would you keep your end of the bargain~?" Zeldris asked with a sly smirk as Elaine nodded slightly.

He pulled away so she could go change. Zeldris grabbed the rope and blindfold while Elaine as changing into the outfit he loved. "Hm.." Zeldris didn't want to use it, probably a waste of money. But whatever. After tossing the rope and blindfold aside Elaine walked out the small bell ringing as she stepped closer to Zeldris. The black haired demon smiled wrapping his arms around her small waist.
As always she fit so perfectly. He loved her so much and hoped she knew that.

"My dear maiden...you look so beautiful~" he said pressing a soft kiss to her cheek. Elaine couldn't help but blush heavily. Her hands on his chest while looking up at him. He chuckled a bit and kissed her deeply placing his left hand on her cheek the other holding her by her waist.

Suddenly there was a loud explosion...
