Slightly nervous I smiled at my date. Why did I decide to go on this date again? Oh wait, I didn't. My amazing sister Henrietta set me up on this damn date. The funny part is my greedy ass thought I was going to meet my sister for a good night of food and drinks. Instead of that I'm sitting at a restaurant, which I have to mention is definitely not my type of restaurant where I would eat, with someone who is clearly not my type.

"I'm sorry but what was your name again?" I asked, a little embarrassed. He laughed.

"It's doesn't matter. My name is Isaac," he answered. I nodded.

An uncomfortable silence fell between us two. Neither of us wanted to be here. How did she even found this guy? Honestly I don't even want to know. It didn't take long for us to leave. There was no way I was going to stay. Henrietta was going to get it when I see her. My single excisions was clearly bothering her. Though it has been a few years since I've had a relationship but for now I was completely fine with that. There was nothing better than being single. I could do as I please, when I please and I liked that. My freedom had no limits. And besides that, I was too busy finding myself in life and where I belonged. Dating wasn't the smartest choice right now. I'd feel horrible if I broke someone's heart now because I was so unsure of what I could give a man in life now. It was time for me to be myself in very damn way I pleased.

As I was about to open the door to my apartment, the door opened. My older sister Henrietta looked at me. I knew the look in her eyes. The 'are you being serious right now? I planned a hot guy date for you.' look. And I wasn't having it.

"Isaac is definitely not the type of guy I would date, we both know that. So please, spare me with what you were going to say." Henrietta sipped her wine.

"Querida, you are a amazing person and I want you be loved like mami and papi love each other. You only deserve the best man in the world," Henrietta said, looking at me. I sighed.

"I know you do Etta but not now. It's just not the right time and I don't want to talk about it anymore." Henrietta nodded, finally giving up. At least I hope so.

My parents do love each like everyday is their last day. There was not a day that my father didn't tell my mom he loved her. When my Dutch dad Elias met my beautiful African American mom Elenor in New Orleans, he fell in love immediately but my dad was on vacation in America at that time. Not long after he left to go back to his home in Amsterdam, he came back for my mom. My dad gave up everything to be with my mom. She was the only one for him. When I was younger my dad always spoke Dutch to me and my sister, while my mom spoke English to us. Mom and dad were a example of true love. Now these days that's something very rare.

"So, no dates?" Henrietta asked, innocently. I rolled my eyes.

"No dates Etta. I'm serious. Just let a bitch live her best hot girl summer life here, thank you," I said, as I poured myself a glass of scotch. Henrietta started laughing.

"Hot girl summer life? Please, don't even start. All you did this summer with your sorry ass, was going to work! You didn't do any hot girl actives." I drank my scotch in peace.

"Mind you, I'm a nurse. I have a very important job unlike missy over here. What is it that you do again?" I asked Henrietta.

"I'm a female referee for the WWE."

"Oh yeah, that is what you do. Now tell me, how was your hot girl summer?" Henrietta started laughed, but the way she laughed hid something.

"Etta? What did you do?" She didn't answer. Well that makes me even more curious.

"I can take that as a answer that you did some illegal shit, didn't you." Henrietta looked at me like I was crazy.

"Jol, no one was talking about illegal shit. And I didn't do anything of that. Just some other stuff."

"Well, what kinda stuff you do? Come on Etta, sharing is caring. And besides that, if it's really that bad I need to know. What if mami finds out? I'm the only one that can save your ass."

"You? Save my ass? Before you can even do that, mami whooped both of our asses." I frowned.

"Oh hell, my ass ain't getting whooped because you decided to play like Ms. dumb dumb. Start talking!"

"I might be pregnant?" Wait, what did she say?

"Girlfriend, you have a very religious mom who not to mention is a pastor. And you don't even have a boyfriend. Now that is some hoe shit," I laughed loud. Henrietta rolled her eyes.

"Well, that is some great help." I frowned.

"Are you serious?" I asked, a little worried. Henrietta looked away.

"Yes, and I need your help." Shocked I looked at her.

"And for what does thou need me?" Henrietta cleared her throat.

"I want you to quit your job and come on the road with me." Quit my job? Now, I'm really wondering if she is on some kinda crack I don't know about. Cause what ever she's having, I want it too.

"Why?"

"Well, you are a nurse and I'm pregnant. No one at work knows it yet, and besides I need my sister now."

"Henrietta, do you know what your asking me? Now lying to mom that is really bad but quitting my job? That's something else. I have bills to pay Etta."

"I have enough money, I'll pay everything. Just say yes." That was one hard decision to make, but she was my sister and I loved her.

"Okay." A little shocked and doubtful Henrietta looked at me.

"I won't tell mom anything and I get the chance to spend more time with my sister. So why not?" Immediately Henrietta hugged me.

"Thank you Jol!" I hugged her back.

"Now, how is your baby daddy?"

"You'll find out soon.."

What did I get my self into? Now I have to spend how many months on the road with my sister, and I lot of people I don't know. Our parents always thought us to me compassionate and kind to each other, but I only did it because she was my sister and I loved her. And besides that, at least my heart will be at ease. Pregnant and all alone, that is something I wouldn't wish for anyone.
