Chapter 10: A Phone Call

3 minutes left for the third quarter and Seirin was able to close the gap a little. The scores from Seirin is 87 while Shutoku got 92. Kaijo and the audience watches the game with amusement.

Izuki got the ball and he starts to run fast and he was able to slip away from Takao and he passes the ball towards Mitobe. Midorima steals the ball and he got into his position to shoot , but Kagami was able to block it and Mitobe got the ball , Kimura tries to steal the ball , but Mitobe passes the ball to Hyuuga and he shoots the ball while Kagami was blocking Midorima.

Midorima was able to shoot and Seirin keeps on catching up and eventually , they are now tied. Seirin got 102 aswell as Shutoku. The third quarter's over and both teams went to their benches. They all sat down and wipes their sweat away with their towels and drinks some water. Kuroko went up to them and they blush.

"You guys are really amazing." Kuroko said with his monotone voice , but his face has a smile plastered on and eyes filled with sincerety and gentleness. Seirin all looks at him with and all their faces heated up and smiles at him. They all stand up and gives Kuroko a smile and ruffles his hair. Kuroko looks at all of them and smiles.

They all went to the court as Shutoku glares at all of them with envy , anger and determination inside their eyes. The fourth quarter is now starting and the ball was thrown into the air and Kimura got the ball and aggressively passes it to Miyaji and he passes the ball between Kagami's legs and Takao got a hold of it then passes to Midorima.

Kagami jump to block him , but Midorima immediately runs to his right amd he shoots the ball. Midorima looks at Seirin then at Kuroko as he stares back at him. Midorima looks away and adjusted his glasses and went to his post. Midorima was able to hide his blush after looking at Kuroko's cute and beautiful round eyes. Takao keeps on looking at Kuroko with a most likely dreamy way , but got snapped back when Midorima told him to go into position.

Shutoku suddenly plays the game with all their might and power as Seirin was now breathing heavily. Rico narrows his eyes as Kuroko looks at them with worry in his eyes. Rico made a time out and puts Kuroko in. Seirin grins and Kuroko smiles a little. An invisible arrow striked their heart and was now blushing as Kuroko looks at them confused and adorable.

Kise , Hayakawa and Moriyama pinches their noses to prevent themselves from having a nosebleed and Kasamstu looks away while blushing as Kobori closes his eyes while blushing. The other audience didn't notice it , but some awed at him quietly. The game starts again and Ootsubo passes the ball to Kimura , but even though Takao said not to , but he said it a little too late now because Kuroko redirects it towards Kagami.

Kagami got the ball then dunks it inside the hoop with a bang. The game keeps on going and only 20 seconds left. Midorima was about to shoot the ball , but Kagami steals the ball and runs to the opposite side. Kagami passes the ball to Hyuuga and he dribbles the ball towards the hoop , but he got cornered. Hyuuga passes the ball then Kuroko came out of no where then redirects the ball to Mitobe as he dribbles the ball then passes to Izuki.

Izuki saw Miyaji going after him and so is Takao. He immediately passes the ball then Kuroko redirects it towards Kagami and made a high jump and then he dunks in the ball. Shutoku was impressed by Kagami's jumping skills and Kuroko's passes and their teamwork. They all gathered in a line and bows their heads. Kaijo cheers and grins at Seirin's victory. Rico and the other members on the bench cheers aswell.

They all went back to their locker room and changes their clothes. They all went outside and was ready to go home and rest. They all went to thier homes and starts to clean themeselves up.

It was already Monday and Seirin got to go to school and since the game was cancelled , due to heavy raining and the gym's rooftop windows weren't closed that night so , inside the gym is like having a flood at the meantime. Seirin is going to be up against Ginbo in there next game , but it seems that they cancelled it.

The class went on and on. The bell finally rang and the Seirin basketball members all went to the gym to start practice. Kuroko got a phone call and as he looks at his phone , he immediately excused himself and went outside to answer it.

"Hello?" Kuroko said as he waited for a reply on the other line. "Ah! Hello. . .

Tetsu-nii-chan." The other line said that sounded like a female voice. "So , why did you call me?" Kuroko asked and he heard the female voice sights. "When are you visiting me , Tetsu-nii?" The female girl said a little sad , but Kuroko somehow felt that she held a sad smile.

"I'm not sure , but i promise to visit soon." Kuroko said as tears forms on the side of his eyes. "Don't worry , Tetsu-nii. Don't rush yourself , okay?" The girl said sweetly on the phone as Kuroko smiles.

"Okay , then. Please hold on , okay?" Kuroko said while smiling as the girl chuckles lightly. "I better go or else i'm gonna get yelled at and sorry for calling you at this time , Tetsu-nii." The girl said with a genlte voice. "Bye , sis." Kuroko ended the call and wipes his tears away and went back inside the gym.

"Kuroko , where did you go?" A certain red head asked as he was holding a ball. "Just had to answer a phone call." Kuroko replied as Kagami nods his head. "Okay , can you pass me some balls." Kagami asked as Kuroko nods his head and went to the court and starts to pass some basketballs to Kagami and soon passes the basketballs to the others aswell.

Practice was over and they are all ready to go home. Kuroko , Kagami , Izuki , Mitobe and Koganei all went to Maji burger before going home. Kagami and Mitobe are on the counter while the other three are sitting on a table talking about something they have in common.

Kagami and Mitobe came to the table they were sitting on with a tray full of food. They began to eat. "I was wondering." Kagami said as he looks at Kuroko , who is sitting in front of him. "Who was the person you were talking on the phone to?" Kagami asked out of curiousity.

Kuroko smiles as he looks at them. "My sister called me." Kuroko said while a sweet and gentle smile is on his face. "Eh? Really?" Koganei said as he looks at Kuroko as he nods his head as an answer. "Did she said something to you?" Izuki asked as he takes a bite out of his burger and was sitting at Kuroko's left side.

"She asked when i'm going to visit her." Kuroko said as he takes a sip out of his vanilla shake. "Where is she from?" Koganei asked as Kuroko thinks for a moment and his face was like a baby when he thinks of something. Number 2 isn't with them since Kuroko decided to left him at his apartment.

"She's from Korea." Kuroko said giving them a smile then sips on his vanilla shake. "She's from Korea!?" Izuki , Kagami and Koganei asked while Mitobe's eyes widen a bit. "Yes." Kuroko simply said.

They all finished eating and they all walk home and seperates ways. Kuroko reached his home and Number 2 runs towards him as he jumps onto Kuroko's arms and licks his face. Kuroko walks to his bedroom and takes a shower. He then went to bed and waited for the next day to come.
