I woke up a little too early but couldn't go back to sleep.

"Might as well go make breakfast." I mumbled to myself as I dragged myself out of bed. Walking down the stairs, I remembered what today was and my mood became even worse. I quickly made myself breakfast, got dressed, then jumped in my car and headed off to school.

"Riza! Hey you with the face!" I heard Adeline yell from across the hall. I closed my locker just as she came up walking with Macy. Macy and I had known each other ever since freshman year when we were both on the varsity basketball and volleyball team. Since then, her, Adeline, Stella, and I became the best of friends. But now that Stella graduated, it was just us three left for our senior year.

"Hey Addie! What's up?" I replied back with a smile and a hug. I hugged Macy too as she stood next to Adeline.

"Nothing much. How was your summer?"

"Good. But not as good as Macy's here." I playfully added, hip-bumping Macy.

"So what's your point? I went to LA with Stella and the guys. It wasn't much." Macy retorted.

"Wasn't much!? You went to LA; that's the point. Another point is that you went with JONAS! That means a whole summer with the cutest guys on EARTH!" Just as I finished pointing out the obvious to Macy, that was when Nick came. Man was he cute!

"Hey Mace, Addy, Riza," he greeted us.

"Hey." We said in unison.

"What are you girls talking about?"

"Our summers and all that good stuff." I replied as casually as possible.

"That's cool. Well, I gotta go. Mrs. Snart wants to talk to me about something." He said, then left.

"Ok. My day has been made." I leaned against my locker and smiled. Then the bell rang.

"C'mon Miss Day Dreamer. We need to get to class." Adeline and Macy nudged me on my arms. I came out of my trance and followed my friends to class.

The bell rang loudly throughout the halls. I quickly grabbed my Horace Mantis backpack and ran out of the room, hoping that our table wasn't taken yet. As I turned the corner, my eyes found themselves looking at 3 figures sitting at our usual lunch table. The figures slowly became familiar as I got closer, finally realizing that it was Macy, Adeline, and Nick. I grabbed the seat next to Nick before a random freshman took it.

"Lunch!" I yelled, ripping open my lunch bag and yanking out my BLT sandwich.

Nick gave out a small chuckle as I bit into my lunch. "Wow, I've never seen anyone so enthusiastic about lunch before... actually, I have. Kevin's always enthusiastic about eating."

"Sorry," I put my sandwich down and chewed slowly, not to seem like a complete pig in front of him. When I finished chewing, I turned to Nick, "So, what did Mrs. Snart want to talk to you about?"

"Yeah! What was so important that she had to pull you out of first period?" Macy asked.

"Oh, well, I actually shouldn't be telling anyone but she's putting on a production of Les Miserables as the fall play. She said she wanted my opinion on it before going along with her plan."

"Is she going to do it?"

"Yeah, but only if I play Marius." His face showed a hint of happiness though his tone said something else.

"You'd do great as Marius. Didn't you say that you wanted to play Marius?" Macy cut in again.

"I do, but you know Mrs. Snart. She usually only puts us in her plays to sell tickets."
