I nodded back at her as she responded with her. It didn't matter if she decided to be 'rude' to her. I looked down at the table as I heard the words
"I fuckin hate this place."
escape this girls mouth. I nodded slowly, I didn't think it would be necessary for myself to respond to this comment considering it didn't seem directed towards me to answer. However I still heard her.
I crossed my legs as I moved my pencil off of my sketchbook and onto the table, I closed the big book full of my drawings and placed my pencil back on top of it as I moved it to the side of my soup and chips. As I said before, I didn't really consider this to be a 'snack'. The only thing that was actually a real snack were the chips. I slowly opened the soup container from the local subway, I was mainly nervous about someone noticing that I had all of this food.
I assumed Ava was going to mooch off of me like the rest of the other people I didn't know that saw that I had these kind of things. My right elbow cracked faintly as I stood up putting pressure on my arms as I got up to throw the bag away. My mother had been watching the two of us closely as we managed to maintain the horrible thing everyone calls 'small talk'.
