I smiled at the girl seated next to me as she complimented my drawing. My cheeks became pink because of such a nice compliment. It was nice to get those every once and awhile.

"Thanks, I like your drawing too. It's really nice."

I guess I was trying to be nice so I would at least have someone that I could hang out with in this hell hole of a school.
I was surprised she even decided to talk to a dumbass like me, but if we're being honest with ourselves, for an eleven year old I was pretty mature. My cheeks eventually went back to their normal color as I continued drawing my made up character in my sketchbook.

as I got far into drawing this character I put my pencil down on the paper and massaged my hand for a bit. It was cramping from the amount of pressure I put on it. I leaned back in my chair and drew my attention over to her once again.

"I'm Emma, what about you?"

I sat up again, my posture was much better now considering I wasn't slouching anymore.
A thought came into my mind, "I wonder if she thinks I'm nosey..."

It wouldn't be a surprise if she did though. Most people thought I was either nosey or stuck up. I assumed it was because of my demeanor. Most of my classmates just shrugged me off and my group of 'friends' were degrading me every time I did something.

They also begged, and begged, and BEGGED. All they ever did was beg for things that I had as if I was their supply for things to steal or beg for.
