" Bye, kaa-san, I'll see you later!" Said 16 year old Izuku Midoriya as he went to hang out with

his friends.

Izuku has green black curly hair, and his face is dotted with freckles. He has big doe

like eyes, and fair skin. He is wearing a grey sweatshirt, with black jeans and his signature red sneakers.

" Ok, just be careful ok honey?" Fretted 45 year old Inko Midorya

" I will!" said Izuku as he walked out the door.

He was walking down the path of his old school route, to get to the train station and meet up with Uraraka Ochako and Iida Tenya.

For some reason though, he felt like he should have stayed home.

Time Skip

" hey Deku-kun! How are you?" Asked Uraraka enthusiastically

" yes, how are you Midorya-kun?" questions Tenya

"I'm fine, Uraraka-chan, IIda-kun! Are you ready to go?" asked Izuku

"Yeah! I can't wait to go get mochi and hang out today!" said Uraraka

" We don't get to hang out as often as the others, so it's nice that we get to have fun once in a while!"

They had reached the mall, and Uraraka was dragging them to one store and another, showing them the places she wanted them to see. Iida and Izuku got to go to their favorite stores too and some Uraraka had never seen before. They had a good time there but, the end of the day had come too quickly and had to say goodbye for now, as they had school tomorrow.

"Bye Iida-kun, Uraraka-chan! I'll see you at school tomorrow!" called Izuku to his friends

"See you at school!" called back Tenya and Ochako

Soon, Izuku had reached the door of his apartment, took a breath and opened the door. Though when he opened it, something didn't feel right.

"Kaa-san, I'm home and I brought you something!" Called Izuku.

The hair on the back of his neck stood on end as he went through the house. He looked in all the rooms calling for his mother. He then went into his bedroom, thinking his mom had gone somewhere, but was horrified at what he saw.

His mother's body, covered in blood, and writing in blood on the wall. Her arms are twisted the wrong way and her eyes are pale and lifeless. Her skin was pale white and her jaw was broken, mouth open in a broken silent scream, and on the wall was the phrase:

                   GAME OVER !

Izuku felt nauseous and puked, the gruesome sight too much for him. After he was done he fumbled for his phone with shaky hands and called All Might, hand over his mouth.

" My boy, why are you call-" he began in a sleepy voice

" Please help..." Izuku cut off in a panicked, hushed voice " My mom she-she..." Izuku trailed off, breaking down into sobs.

" Izuku, i'm on my way and i'm calling Tsuckauchi, just stay where you are ok?"

Izuku let out a silent ok and hung up the phone, then collapsing on the floor, letting out silent sobs.

15 minutes later

A stretcher was rolling to an ambulance as Izuku was sitting out on the steps, a blanket over his shoulders, staring out into space.

Yagi Toshinori was by his side, hugging the boy and giving the most comfort he could. Detective Naomasa came over and told him that he was old enough to live on his own and didn't need to live in an orphanage, and that he was sorry for his loss, but that was of no comfort to Izuku.

30 minutes later, they were gone. Izuku stayed outside for a few minutes longer, then went back inside. He entered the apartment, but it felt so empty now that his mother was gone. He silently went to his room and looked inside but didn't enter.

The room would only remind him of the body he saw on the floor, and the day he lost everything.

He went to his mother's old room and then he finally broke down, the realisation setting in that he would never see his mother again. He would never hear his mother sing a sweet tune as she cooks, or hear her greet him again.

He was alone.

The Next Day

Izuku was sitting in his dorm room in a ball, trying to figure out how to get through the day without anyone else pestering him to see if he was ok.

Iida already came by and kept pestering him with questions asking if there was anything he could do. He liked his friend, he really did but couldn't he see that he wanted to be left alone?

Aizawa was concerned for the problem child, because his eyes seemed dull. He didn't seem as into the lessons as he had been a few days ago and his smile seemed off, empty.

He decided to go check on him to see if he was ok, and to see why he was acting this way.

He got to the door with Izuku's name by it and knocked on the door, then all of the sudden he heard shouting:

"IIDA, LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE! I TOLD YOU THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO RIGHT NOW, DA-"

The door swung open and it revealed Izuku with messier and longer hair than usual and a surprised look on his face. His room looked like a mess; with clothes strewn all over the floor and walls and shelves bare of any All Might paraphernalia.

Izuku bowed at a 90 degree angle and apologised, saying "I am so sorry, Aizawa sensei!"

Aizawa looked stunned and looked at Izuku as he stood up straight again.

He looked at Izuku and grabbed his shoulders and looked him in the eye asking:

"What happened, Izuku?" In a soft but firm tone of voice, and that's when the dam broke again.

Hugging his sensei and sobbing into his chest, he told him everything that happened yesterday. The villains breaking into his apartment while he wasn't there, his mom's mangled corpse, the writing on the wall.

He felt stunned for a moment and hugged the kid back, whispering sweet nothings into his ear trying to calm him down.

After a few minutes the sobbing calmed down and Izuku looked up at his sensei again. Aizawa asked a question that he hoped he would never have to explain:

"Do you have anyone you can stay with?"

Izuku looked down, hair shadowing his eyes and said, "No, I don't. My mom's parents are dead and my uncle, Hisashi Midorya, died a few weeks ago. My mother doesn't remember my father except for his red eyes, and now I live alone. I'm an orphan."

Aizawa pondered this for a moment and made izuku lift his head. "I am giving you a few days off classes so you can sort out your emotions and don't worry about living alone, I'll sort that out."

For the first time in what felt like forever, Izuku smiled a true smile.
