"Andre!" Mark yelled, looking over the rubble that was all around. Emma held her daughter close while standing behind her husband, screaming for their son's name.
A leg under a fallen wood roof had caught mark's eye, and he quickly ran towards it. Mark dropped the torch onto the ground putting his hands under the edge of the wood, pushing it up he looked under to find a little girl that seemed to be 13 and used his left hand to drag the girl out by the leg and onto the ground.
Emma rushed over as the girl coughed getting the air back into her lungs and opened her eyes to look at Emma then towards mark. "W-Who are you?" the girl croaked while brushing a strand of her white hair out of her face. "I'm Mark, and that is my wife and daughter, Emma and Maddison." mark made his head make a slight gesture towards Emma holding Maddison.
The girl nodded. "You alright hun" mark knelt beside the girl. "Yes, I am fine, but I don't have anyone to go back to" "would you like to stay with us" Emma spoke to the girl.
The girl was surprised at the sudden invitation then looked towards mark who nodded slowly. She smiled heartfeltly and said "Yes I would. My name is Aliena by the way" "welcome to the family daughter." mark smiled at Aliena. The ground then shook in a loud beat causing Aliena and the two adults to look back at the giant reptile, Godzilla.
Aliena smiled at Godzilla while he walked away, letting out another roar but just a bit shorter. She got up and stood beside her new mother watching Godzilla and felt a small tug on her sleeve. Aliena looked towards her sleeve and saw a little hand on it; it was Maddison's hand.
Maddison leaned towards Aliena wanting her to now hold her. Brushing Maddison's hand away, Aliena held her arms out towards her sister and grabbed her from Emma's grip. Aliena held Maddison in her arms, Maddison snuggling closer into Aliena's hair as she felt a hand come to the back of her head.
