welp. to be completely honest, this story is all over the place. it started out as something completely different than it is now and i must've re-written the first few chapters at least three times before i settled on liking them. after finishing my other jim story (called 'say you'll haunt me' if you're interested!), i wanted to write one with someone else in slipknot as the love interest (this specifically was originally corey) but somehow it still just ended up feeling to me more like it fit with jim better. so i'm still going to try and write one with corey but for now i'm having an absolute blast writing this and i hope you enjoy it!
also: this is supposed to take place sometime in the vol. 3 era, probably around 2004 or so!
(before anyone says anything, i know the cover photo is technically from the wrong era. the problem, though, is that i just fucking love the long hair/the whole ahig look too much so, it is what it is haha)
this does have some dark themes in it, mainly mental illness and drug abuse. individual chapters will have trigger warnings when i feel like they need them!
