14. The date

Monty knocked on the door. 'I'll get it' Megan's mother yells and opening the door. 'Hello can I help you?' She asks monty. Hello Mrs. Baxter I'm here to pick up your daughter so we can go on a date he answers nervously. The woman sees how nervous he is and asks if he was to come in. He does and sits on one side of the couch. So what's your name? Megan's mother asks Montgomery de la Cruz he answers. Megan comes rushing down the stairs and sees her date looking very uncomfortable and decided to rescue him. She's never seen him like this. Vulnerable and nervous. Hey. She says to him. Hey he replies you look gorgeous Thankyou she replies. Mom I'll be back by 8 okay? She says to her mother before hugging her goodbye. I like him he mother whispered in her daughters ear. Me too the daughter whispers back. The two teenagers make their way to the cafe laughing and joking about things. They almost forgot they were on a date since they do this all the time.

*2 hours later*
'I had fun today' she says to him. 'Me too' he whispers. He leads in. Megan leans in too and wraps her arms around the boys neck and he wraps his arms around her waist. They kiss. It was long and passionate. The first proper kiss. They both blush once they pull away. He takes her around to see some cute places and they reach a park. They both sit on a bench and talk about personal things. 'I never really trust boys and men anymore' she tells him. 'But you trust me right?' he asks. 'Yes I trust you with my whole life' she says 'and I don't know why. My dad passed when I was 6 and I was so mad at him for leaving me and my mom and my last relationship haven't been great...' she explains to him why it's so difficult for her to trust boys and men and why she hasn't loved someone in a long time. 'You're a good listener' she says to the boy
'I am?' She nods 'well Thankyou' he says
'So what about you' she asks
'What about me?' He questions
'Well I just told you everything so.......'
'Okay fine. Well my family is much different from yours. My mom is so sweet and my father isn't so much. He.' He paused. 'You don't have to tell me if you don't want to.' 'no I want to' he replies. 'He abuses us. He has this terrible anger and he takes it out on my mom and I.' Megan felt sorry for the boy and wrapped her arms around him to show that she's there for him.

*time skip 1 hour later*
They end up in Megan's room watching Netflix and talking.
'I hate this show' Monty breaths out.
'What?' Megan gasps offended for what the boy just said to her.
'Well it's not realist at all. A vampire doesn't fall in love with an average girl' he states. 'Okay we are watching this' She tells him. 'fine one episode' he says and he wraps his arms around the girl and cuddles her as the show continues.

*time skip to 8:30pm*

'It was nice to meet you Monty' Megan mom says as the boy is about to leave
'You too Mrs Baxter' he says comfortably.
'Please call me Erica' Megan's mom tells him.
Monty nods as she disappears back into the kitchen. 'Good bye' Megan's says hugging him giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. 'I had an amazing time today' she smiles and he smiles back. 'Me too'. He says, 'I'll talk to you once I get home'. ' Definitely' she replies.
