She didn't bother asking him where he was taking her. Part of the reason being she didn't really care. Since an escape was what she needed and craved the most. Unknown to her, but so did he.

The engine scrambled as he pulled up to a crowded small home on the corner.

Eyes landed on them once they got out and she took another long swig of the drink in her hold. Then stumbled right behind him. He shook up with some of the guys on the porch.

"Sup, Foo?" they greeted.

"Shit! Mane I should be asking yo ass that." He stared Samore up and down. "Where you find her from?" one of the baggy dressed men asked.

"Why she dressed like she just left church or some shit?" Another one of them laughed as Sam rolled her eyes. When she tried to continue inside, the entryway was blocked off. She knew just one call to her father would have every single one of them laying six feet under. So she didn't really make a big deal about it. Of course these niggas wouldn't recognize Armani when they saw it, she thought.

"She's a cute lil chocolate thing tho."

"Is she even old enough to be up in here?" a girl from the crew asked. And not because she generally cared. But due solely to the fact she didn't like all of the male attention that Sam was getting.

"Your hoe ass always hating." He said between puffs of his blunt.

The dark building was filled with smoke from the ceiling down like there was something burning on the stove. And maybe it was. Rap music boomed through the radio speakers vibrating the floors. And body after body maneuvered around the place rather that was to dance, chill, or lay up in one of the rooms upstairs.

That was how parties thrown by Aunt Banga always went down.

She loved keeping the block lit on a Saturday night. Her house was the hotspot everybody who was anybody knew.

Sam tried letting loose, but she couldn't compete with the booty shorts and throwback jersey dresses most girls there was strutting around in.

"I'ma be right back. Wait here." Rondo whispered as giggling followed from over her shoulder when a group of girls walked by.

Sam looked down at the drink she still carried then took another sip.

"So you fucking my man now, huh?"

"What?!" Sam hissed.

"Rondo..." a short girl answered. Through the flashing colorful lights, she couldn't deny the beauty of this girl standing before her. "I'm just fucking with you, sis, I'm Mini. Rondo's cousin. He must really like you cuz he never brings any bitches around this way."

"Shoot! He probably scared you gon take them." A grainy voice spoke as one of the boys from the front porch came over.

Mini smacked her glossy full lips. "Stop playing with me!"
