Alexandrite's POV
Bella almost died. She gave birth to a beautiful daughter, Renesemee Carlie Cullen, but she almost suffered the consequences. Edward saved her, injecting venom straight to the heart. I'm as big as Bella was. Carlisle suspects it's because of my different races, plus Seth's shifter's genes. Shifter, elf, demigod, vampire, and part Samoan. Yep, I'm special, aren't I. Anyways, the baby is sorta compatible for my body, though the baby had broken a few ribs. With me being pregnant and all, I refuse to use my powers, making me waddle everywhere.
I'm currently sitting with Seth, watching Bella. Edward's on the other side, trying to get Bella to speak, move, anything. But, I think I know what's happening. She refraining herself from screaming by not moving or making a sound. If she releases, everything will be let go.
I lean against Seth, when Edward's head snaps up.
"Andy, it's time." He says.
I nid, and Seth carries me to the hospital room.
Seth's POV
I look at my beautiful daughter. Her hair is light red color, contrasting our dark hair. Her eyes are deep grey color, with light brown specks, and her skin is super pale, like, paler than vampire pale, from the 1/4 vampire Landrite is. She, like Renesemee, was born with a full head of hair, but it's straight. She just as smart as Renesemee, but communicates differently. Rylan signs, while Renesemee shows.
I look over at Landrite again, seeing her sleep peacefully. Then, her eyes open. I hold Rylan carefully, and walk over to my wife.
"Landrite, your awake." I breathe.
"Why are the lights off?" She asks.
"What do you mean? The light are on." I reply.
"Seth, I can't see anything." She whispers.
I almost drop Rylan.
"Carlisel?" I call.
He rushes in, edgy by the tone of my voice.
"Hey Andy, I see your awake, you feel in okay?" He asks, walking to stand beside his daughters bed.
"Dad, I can't see." I tint sob rips through her walls.
He usher smells out, and starts working with her. I walk downstairs numbly, completely oblivious to everyone's looks. The hospital is sound proof, even vampire sound proof. Carlisle only heard me because the door was open, but now it's closed.
I sit on the couch.
-Daddy, what is it?- Rylan asks, then grabs my cheek.
"Yeah, Seth, what is it?" Jacob asks as he plays with Renesmee. Jach imprinted on the baby, and Bella was mad for a little bit.
"L-L-Landrite can't see." I explain quietly.
"What do you mean?" Bella asks.
I like vampire Bella, but I still kinda miss human Bella.
"She woke up, and she can't see anything. She opened he Reyes, and asked me why the lights were off." I explain.
I still feel numb. My beautiful wife will never be able to see our beautiful child. She'll never see her grow, she'll never see her graduate college, or take her first steps.
Rylan cuddles into my chest, making me feel a little bit better. Maybe it will be okay.
"It's okay Seth." Edward whispers, patting my back soothingly.
I nod, and cuddle my face into Dylan's hair. She giggles, and I smile.
I look up when Carlisle enters the room.
"What's the verdict?" I ask.
He sighs on relief, and replies "She will get her sight back, but only after a few months."
I nods and smile. This is good. She will be able to see her daughter.
"I have an idea!" Emmet exclaims.
We all look at him surprised, especially Edward.
"What if Renesmee showed Andy certain things, like, what Ry loks like, and certain other stuff." Emmet explains.
"That... is actually very smart Emmet." Rosalie replies, surprised.
"I'm smart." Emmet Huffs.
"Come on." Bella says, grabbing Renesmee, and starting up the stairs. I follow her. When we get to the hospital room, Landrite is sitting up, with her knees against her chest. She looks up when she hears us.
"Bella and Seth, I think, right?"
"Yes Landrite, it's us." I reply.
She smiles at my words.
"Can I hold our daughter?" She asks, holding her arms out.
I nod, and carefully placed Ry in her arms. She cradles her perfectly, but her faze is slightly off center.
"Andy, are you okay if Renesmee touches your face? She want to show you Rylan, and then how you look holding her." Bella asks.
"Yes please." She begs, and Bella smiles.
Bella walks over, close enough that Renesmee can reach out and touch her cheek. Landrite looks ahead blankly, fading at our daughter through Renesmee's eyes. Her face breaks into a warm grin.
"She's beautiful." Landrite whispers.
"As much as her mom." I whisper, sitting beside her on the bed. She leans against me, and sighs.
"You'll get your sight back soon my love." I whisper.
"I know, I just want it now." She replies.
I wrap my arms around her shoulders, and she snuggles into my chest.
"I love you." She whispers.
"I live you more."
"I live you guys the most." A new voice says. It was high pitched, melodic, and belonged to our daughter.
"Was that..." She trails off.
"Yes. Our daughter just talked." I reply.
She smiles, and then giggles, making Ry giggle, and I smile.
We snuggle closer and fall asleep, our family whole.
