It had been finally been the day, New Year's Eve. It's not just because of the start of a new year, it's the day I leave this town.
Ever since I was 3, I wanted to become a samurai. But no one let me they wanted me to become a princess just like my sisters. Whenever I had the free time I built my own armor while my sisters talk and sit on their thrones. At night, I go outside the city and pretend to fight monsters.
That doesn't matter now, I gotta get my stuff. I was wearing a red kimono with gold high-lights. I went to my room and packed swords, clothes and samurai armor I recently got from an armor shop. I secretly brought it and kept it hidden under my bed. Just when I took a step out of my room, my sister caught me.
"Uh, Tora what are you doing in your room?" Neko asked. "You're supposed to be celebrating with the others."

"Well uh- what are YOU doing here um; Neko..." I said. "Well, I was going to change my clothes, since RIN DECIDED TO RUN AROUND WITH A DRINK IN HER HANDS!" My annoying sister shouted, "WELL I COULDN'T HELP IT, THERE WAS FOOD EVERYWHERE!" Emiko my other sister replied. Ugh, I hate them. I have gotten all my stuff now it's time to leave this place. "See you later I guess," Neko said and walked away.
I quickly jumped out the window and landed on a roof with my feet. I began to walk slowly on the roof, not to fall off. I jumped off the ground and saw people celebrating. Bright lights everywhere it was beautiful. I continued to run, passing by people and shops. "Watch it!" A person said I bumped into him on accident. "Oh, Sorry~!" I replied and ran.
I came into an alley and found a dead end. I climbed the walls and made it to the roof of a house then started to run and jump on roofs. I heard grunts and looked behind it was guards! They must be looking for me. I began to run faster and faster.
A guard then jumped right in front of me and I stopped. Guards then circle around me. "You must surrender now!" One of the guards said. I slowly take my sword as they walk towards me. "How about... no?" When they jumped at me I ran out of the circle and then charged at one of the guards. They took out their spear and started fighting me. The guard was about to stab me but I blocked it with my sword and pushed the guard to the ground. While the other guards charged, I ran away from them.
I got to the ground and started running in a crowded place with many people walking. The guards couldn't find me in the crowd. I saw a deck with a boat. That was my chance to leave this place. I went to the dock and got on the boat. The guards came back and tried to grab me, but it was too late I had already started paddling the boat going to Zrodon.
