Mateo has set pace toward his school, after saying goodbye to his mom. His mind begins to open the jar because there is nothing to distract him. Every time this happens, he becomes unaware of the time and space around him. He walks on the isolated road. The heat emitted by the sun and the ground his shoes touch, surrounds every aspect of his body. His house lay at a distance from the city. Few cars are seen driving by as he enters the city. As he starts walking among the busy streets, he notices what he assumed to be a mom and a child disputing. The little girl seemed around six, and she kept tugging at the woman's blouse, asking her to buy her that toy at the other side of the glass window, in the store. A memory creeps out from the bottle. He picked up the pace past them and continued on his way to school. "...maybe if I had been different, they wouldn't have done those things to me..."
