As Aisha predicted it would be, her time at K-12 (as short as it has been) had been crazy. In the next few days, she had spent more time what Kelly and her friends. Most of the time, during lunch Kelly would send a message in the groupschat saying they were meeting at a table in the back in cafetaria C.

Aisha, and Kelly and some of her friends, know that she is different from Kelly's group. Most of the time during their time together, Aisha would stay quiet and just listen to their outragous exaggerated stories about boyfriends, rumors, gossip or other superficial things.

In a way, the new girl found this new daily routine somewhat reassuring. One of the biggest worries she had was that she wouldn't find any new friends at K-12. Now she has them at least.

The one thing Aisha absolutely did not like though, was how the girl (especially Kelly) talked about others...especially Melanie. Somethings that they said were mean spirited and made the new girl quite uncomfortable.

But it seemed like she wasn't the only one it made uncomfortable, as one day during class the quietest girl of the bunch leaned into her, "They aren't always like this." Fleur's voice whispered.

Aisha's green eyes met soft brown ones and she leaned in closer to the girl. "They aren't?" she whispered back, athough the other girls were to busy in their gossiping to hear them anyway.

"No..." the other girl's soft voice muttered, "I think it's just Melanie."

Aisha perked up, "Melanie?" and Fleur nodded, "Melanie Martinez, right? What did she do?"

Fleur nervously looked at the other girls, making sure that no one else was listening. When she leaned closer to Aisha she explained, "...well, Kelly and Brandon, her kind-of boyfriend, didn't really hang out much over summer and rumor has it that Brandon has been showing interest in Melanie here and there,"

"Oh," Aisha nodded slowly, "..is she also interested in him?"

"I  don't know." Fleur shrugged, "I dont know her that well...she seems cool, though."

Aisha smiled and put her finger against her lips, "Ssh, don't let queen bee hear you speak such treason." she dramatically whispered which elicited a giggle from Fleur.

Aisha liked this girl.

From the corner of her eye, Aisha saw Kelly scrunching up a piece of paper and throwing it across class behind the teacher's back. The ball of paper hit Melanie after the girl opened it, she looked Kelly's way. Melanie rolled her deep brown eyes at Kelly and sighed, "Real mature, Kelly."

"What did you write?" Fleur's soft voice asked Kelly.

The blonde haired girl sent Fleur a glare and scoffed, "Does it matter?" she scrunched up her face and put up a confident smile "nothing that isn't true."

The bell rang loudly in the classroom and all the kids sped out of class, excited for their lunch time. It was almost fall weather, however still warm enough so Kelly announced that they would be sitting outside today. Shrugging, Aisha followed behind half-listening to Kelly's story about some other girl.
