Chapter 6: The Truth Is Sometimes Irrelevant

S4 and Matrix dodged the first strike from one of the Bugs. "This is gonna be a pain in the ass to kill," Matrix said as he landed next to S4. "Definitely, however, I wonder what is their weakness?" S4 asked as he waved his hand across in the air. "Anything?" asked Matrix as he turned into his defensive mode. "Their weakness is physical attacks, but they have a very high defensive. To top it all off they can disable most of our abilities... they were truly made to hunt and kill people like us," S4 answered as he smiled to himself, knowing this was going to be a wonderful challenge. "Hmph, challenge accepted," Matrix said as he rushed and damaged one of the Bugs. "Hey! Leave some for me!" shouted S4 as he jumped in to assist him. They both fought diligently as they destroyed each of them one by one. "Recoil Impact!" shouted S4 as he punched the Bug in the face with tremendous force. The move did a toll on the Bug, but when it was recovering. Matrix slammed his pile bunker arm on the side of its face and fired. The pile bunker missed the core and Matrix was thrown into the ground, S4 switched him with a dummy before the Bug used its move, Hyper Beam. "That was close you know," Matrix said as he noticed what happened. "Sorry about that," S4 replied while channeling his energy to use Elemental Disc. "I don't think that would destroy its core," said Matrix as he looked at S4. "It's to give us a chance to see it," he replied as he gave him a smile before tossing it. "What's the plan after it absorbs it?" asked Matrix. "Shoot your spears and I'll try to destroy the core," S4 answered as he draws his sword. "Got it! Just remember I have five kills so, far," Matrix said as he transformed into UUU's gunner form. "Then I guess it shall be a draw because I have four!" S4 shouted as he rushed after it. Matrix smiled as he fired his cannon at it distracting it while S4 tried to cut the core in half. "Bingo!" S4 shouted as he got a glimpse of the sword and sliced it in. The Bug deactivates and S4 and Matrix regrouped to the plan another attack. "Where is Glitchiona?" asked Matrix as he looked around, wondering where she has gone. "I'm here," she whispered. Glitchiona was invisible, concealing her existence by using S4's and Matrix's signature. "Nice invisibility, Glitchiona!" S4 shouted as he turned to her, smiling. Her smile brightens after observing her father's smile while Matrix grinned. "Next stop is Nuffdale, my home," S4 said as he faced the mountains. "You mean our home," replied Matrix. "Yeah, let's go," S4 said as they left Glitchiona behind. "I'll be cheering for you Papa," Glitchiona softly whispered as he rushed towards Draco's location.

FN-HQ, Alice collecting some paperwork "That should be all and soon, I'll be able to search for you again... S4," I whispered as I gazed at the portrait of him. Someone knocked on my door. My eyes immediately darted towards the door "Can I help you?" Staring at Commander Rei as she stood by the door. "She seems to be in a bad mood, I assumed," I thought. "Father Hatena would like to speak with you so, I'll be handling your paperwork in your stay," she said as she walked towards my desk. I was lost for words. "Why is she speaking so, calmly about this. She normally gets agitated about doing things for me in my stay," Ran through my thoughts as I stared at her. "Umm, okay, but you sure you can handle all of this? I don't like the fact I might be wasting your time." "Alice, if you don't move your ass and head to Father Hatena's office... I'll personally show you what happens when you do waste my time," she said as she gritted her teeth. Her smile was crocked and the murderous intent that filled the air around us was enough to suffocate me. I got up and calmly walked out of my office and began to run to towards before Commander Rei kills me. I stood outside Father Hatena's office door, holding onto the doorknob contemplating why he needs me, but I cleared my mind and opened the door Commander John and Father Hatena were talking when I entered. "Oh, umm, excuse me. I got a message saying you wish to speak to me, sir," I said as I placed my hands behind my back and stood up straight. "Oh, yes! I do need to have a word with you Alice," Father Hatena asked as he turned his chair around. "What is it, sir?" I asked, keeping my posture to show respect to the commander. "You know about your husband slaughtering his clan in the past?" he asked. "Yes, sir!" As I pointed my head up high, still feeling anxious as I marched towards the front of his desk. "Then I guess he told you all the details?" he asked as he leaned onto his desk. "No, he has never told me a lot about his past," "I see- "he said before I cut him off. "But he did tell me that he wanted to atone for his crimes even though he didn't do it." I said, slightly stepping out of conduct. I could feel Commander John tensing when I did that. "Hmm, what do you mean by he didn't do it? We have records and witnesses still alive today at Nuffdale who are now eligible to go to court," he said as he stared into my eyes. "Yes, but he told me he was being controlled by someone back then... that's why he killed so, many." Lowering my head with my hands still behind my back slightly shaking. "How long has it been since he took your son and daughter away from you and disappeared?" he asked, still giving me that cold stare. "I've never seen Father Hatena like this before. It's like he is a whole other person," I thought as I tried staring back at him, but it's like his eyes are reading my mind. "I don't think she is lying," Commander John said, looking at my hands. "I'm not saying that she is lying. I just need to get more information about that cold case," Father Hatena replied, waving his arm back and forth. "It has been three years," I softly said. "I'm glad you kept track through the years, but I want you to remember this," he said as he slid a paper across his desk. I looked down towards it and asked, "What is it, Sir?" "It's a picture sent to us from Draco," he answered. I took a look at the photo and saw, S4 and Matrix killing The Infinity Clan civilians. I shocked by the image that was in front of me. I couldn't fathom what I was looking at. I started to question why is he doing this, why is Matrix with him, why are they repeating what they did since they were children again. When I looked at Father Hatena his eyes were filled with water. "Do we have any more information on this?" "No, we don't but at the moment we believe it is authentic and we should act upon it," Commander John said. "Alice, I want you to stop them. I know they have done this in the past... it has been a very long time. I fathered Matrix because he lost his father in S4's rampage but it was covered up by me personally, however, covering for them now... it's impossible," Father Hatena said. He opened the table's drawer and sadly stared at the picture of him and Matrix. "I never knew you did that for Matrix," I softly said. "I only did it because I wanted to respect his father's wishes. I myself need to remember that you shouldn't spoil a child too much even if its not your own flesh and blood," he replied. I nodded my head and asked, "May I leave and get a squad ready to stop them?" "We already tried that and lost a squad of twenty-four men, Alice," Commander John said as he handed me the papers of all the members that participated. "Did we get any video of who attacked them?" "Not as yet but most of them survived. If I can recall only five out of the twenty-four survived and one is missing," Father Hatena said while placing his hand on his chin. "Yes, and one of them was under the same program like S4 Yamada," Commander John said as he looked at him. I quickly looked through the papers for the missing soldier and found a girl named, Elvira. "She was recruited after losing her family and friend from the infinity clan slaughter. She was also used in the unbeatable program... which Dr. Kazimin organized," I read in my thoughts. "Is she the only soldier missing?"
