Aloekit began to have pains in her stomach after walking across the pine forest. Dillstripe, Goldenbloom, Riverstrike, and Nettleblossom, along with Darktalon and the two guards were carrying prey with them. Skystar had Palekit swinging in his jaws as the kit mewled for her mother.
Skystar had asked to test her strength and she had agreed at once, eager to please him.
Aloekit had started to feel weary a few strides ago, the large rabbit Skystar had given her slowing her down.
She wondered who would give her milk in High Camp. What if she starved?!
"Skrystwar!" she mewed, the rabbit muffling her as she nearly tripped over its legs.
The grey tom was leading the patrol and flicked his tail.
Whiskerfoot and Shallowstone sat down, although the hunters from Pine Camp looked at each other, confused, before sitting down.
"Yes, Aloekit?" Skystar set Palekit down next to him, blinking at her.
Aloekit's pelt burned with embarrassment. He'd stopped the patrol just for her! She took her chance and put her cargo down. "Who will give me milk in High Camp?" she squeaked, hoping she wasn't annoying.
"How old are you?" Skystar looked at her, raising an eyebrow.
"Four moons!" she purred, puffing out her chest in pride.
"You don't need milk, you can eat that rabbit when we get there." Skystar dismissed her with a flick of his tail. "Keep moving! Don't be lazy!" Skystar hissed at the hunters, who had laid down, panting from the long walk.
"You're the one who said to stop," Nettleblossom grumbled, grabbing four mice that she'd had before.
Skystar flattened his ears and swiped his claws against Nettleblossom's muzzle. "Disrespect! A Mountain Pass Camp cat would do better!" he growled, turning and smacking his tail across the she-cat's face.
Nettleblossom hissed before marching forward with the rest of the patrol. She paused, glancing at Aloekit and her struggle with the rabbit. "I'll take it, love." She stepped towards her.
"No! I need to carry it to prove I'm strong!" Aloekit mewed, pulling the rabbit nearly twice her size along. "We must be nearly there." She tipped her head hopefully.
"We just left, dear."
"Oh no..."

After what felt like moons they reached High Camp, panting from the long trek.
"Put the prey on the pile! Now!" Skystar growled, whapping his tail across Goldenbloom's face as she strode over to place her wrens down.
"Well, I never!" Goldenbloom snorted before following Nettleblossom back to the entrance, her chin high.
Cats from High Camp began to slink from their dens. Aloekit nearly gasped at them. They were so plump! Most of the cats in Pine Camp were very skinny.
A beautiful siamese with red facial markings came out, licking her lips. Not at the prey, but Aloekit.
Aloekit let out a squeak, crouching down and trying to look fierce. She didn't want the cats to think she was scrawny and weak.
The siamese she-cat padded up to Aloekit, not before snagging two mice right from Riverstrike's jaws, much to the tom's disapproval. "Are you the penalty kit?" she meowed, sitting down and sinking her sharp teeth into one of her mice.
Aloekit dropped her rabbit and stared into the warrior's forest green eyes, that blinked back at her. "Y-yes! There's Palekit too!" she squeaked, her nerves sparking at the immediate interaction.
